Many applications that could only have been dreamed of, have now become a reality due to the improving computing, sensing, display and networking capabilities of smartphones. With applications ranging from productivity, entertainment, enterprise, social networking, communications and mixed reality, the smartphone is the ※swiss army knife§ of it all. However, there are still many untapped elements and unlimited possibilities that smartphones can provide next-generation interactive systems with more intuitive and intelligent functions and applications that have not been explored much in detail, especially through the use of computing, sensing and mobile capabilities of the smartphones. Making uses of cyber and physical data accessible by smartphones, new cyber-physical interactive technologies and systems can be designed and integrated to create novel functionalities, methods and intelligences to interact with humans for better social experiences, and more intelligent services and creative applications, such as recommender systems, advertising platforms, gaming applications that are interactive to the user smartphones on the spot in a physical environment and situation. The many challenges faced in space sensing and communication are extremely diverse and overlap significantly with those found in many terrestrial examples of extreme environments such as extreme hot or cold locations, extreme high- or low-pressure environments, critical control loops in aircraft and nuclear power plants, high-speed rotating equipment, oil/gas pipelines and platforms, etc. All of these environments pose significant challenges for radio-frequency or optical wireless sensing and communication and will require the application of a broad range of state of the art technologies in order to generate reliable and cost effective solutions. Although the specific challenges vary significantly from environment to environment, many of the solutions offered by sensing, communication, and statistical signal processing technologies can be applied in multiple environments, and researchers focusing on space applications can benefit greatly from understanding the problems encountered and solutions applied in alternative environments. Investigations, discussions and exchange of experiences from different stakeholders' perspective on AAL technologies are welcome. The focus of this workshop is on new architectures, methods, techniques, protocols, components and tools related to the Ambient Assisted Living Systems. The first page should include the paper's title, the abstract, a list of keywords indicating the paper's topic area(s), the authors' full names, affiliations, and e-mail addresses. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and by the IEEE, and will be accessible via IEEE Xplore Digital Library. Authors are required to submit fully formatted papers (PDF), with graphs, images, and other special areas arranged as intended for the final publication. Significant achievements were made for the traditional mobility support but new network initiatives such as Cloud Computing, Internet of Things, and Information Centric Networking are emerging that all require mobility aware design and development for architecture, protocol, and service. Continued efforts for mobility support must progress so that such network initiatives are successfully arrived safe. For the 3GPP evolved packet core, developments of the distributed IP mobility aware architecture and protocol are urgent while network functions virtualization with mobility support is being considered as a cost effective strategy for building the next generation cellular network integrated with the Internet. Communications of things also require mobility support as the things are moving devices themselves or devices attached to human beings. The purpose of this workshop is to bring together the academia and industry working on different aspects but related to mobility aware computing to highlight the state-of-art research on mobility support for Future Internet, exchange ideas, and explore new directions. Research results containing detailed descriptions of architecture and protocol operations for mobility support in Future Internet are highly welcome. The workshop will be a half-day workshop in conjunction with the third IEEE/CIC International Conference on Communications in China (ICCC 2014), Shanghai, China, 13-15 October, 2014.
