With the rapid development and increasing complexity of computer systems
and communication networks, user requirements for trust, security and
privacy are becoming more and more demanding. Therefore, there is a grand
challenge that traditional security technologies and measures may not meet
user requirements in open, dynamic, heterogeneous, mobile, wireless, and
distributed computing environments. As a result, we need to build systems
and networks in which various applications allow users to enjoy more
comprehensive services while preserving trust, security and privacy at the
same time. As useful and innovative technologies, trusted computing and
communications are attracting researchers with more and more attention.
The 14th IEEE International Conference on Trust, Security and Privacy in
Computing and Communications (IEEE TrustCom-15) will be held in Helsinki,
Finland on 20-22 August 2015. The conference aims at bringing together
researchers and practitioners in the world working on trusted computing and
communications, with regard to trust, security, privacy, reliability,
dependability, survivability, availability, and fault tolerance aspects of
computer systems and networks, and providing a forum to present and discuss
emerging ideas and trends in this highly challenging research field.

Submission Guidelines
Submitted papers must not substantially overlap with papers that have been
published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal or a conference
with proceedings. Papers must be clearly presented in English, must not
exceed 8 pages, including tables, figures, references and appendixes, in
IEEE Computer Society proceedings format with Portable Document Format
(.pdf). Please submit your paper at
https://research.comnet.aalto.fi/Trustcom2015/paper_submission.html
Papers will be selected based on their originality, timeliness,
significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Submission of a paper

Camera-Ready Deadline: April 30, 2015
About SCUCA 2015:
---------------------------
Cities and urban areas in general are experiencing immense growth in the
last few years as they are the centers of economic activities. Regarding
future trends, it is estimated that 93% of urban growth will occur in
developing nations, with 80% of urban growth occurring in Asia and
Africa. Urged by these observations, city halls and political decision
makers are calling for urgent solutions to the growing problems caused
by this increasing population concentration. Recent advances in
information and communication technologies may stimulate new solutions
towards the urbanization problems, and the mission of this workshop is
to present recent achievements in ubiquitous computing from a smart
cities perspective.
Smart city research mainly focuses on applying next-generation
information technologies in daily activities, like embedding sensors and
actuators in hospitals, power grids, roads, buildings, water systems,
vehicles, and other objects forming the Internet of Things (IoT). A
recent study identifies five industry sectors that are core to the
development of smart cities: energy, water, transportation, buildings,
and government.
This Workshop addresses the aforementioned issues by examining new
technological developments, under the context of ubiquitous computing
and smart environments, in the general areas of: Machine-to-Machine
(M2M) and Mobile Communications, IoT architectures, data storage and
handling, security and privacy, reliability and fault tolerance, risk
analysis and service business models. Experiences from deployments and

1st International Workshop on IoT challenges in Mobile and Industrial
Systems (IoT-Sys 2015)
May 18th, 2015, Florence, Italy
In conjunction with MobiSys 2015, May 18th-22th, Florence, Italy
Workshop website: http://iot-sys.wasnlab.tlc.unipr.it/2015
DESCRIPTION:
The IoT is a rich set of ICT technologies that enables pervasive
interactions among smart objects across the Internet. Applications
ranging from smart home, and smart factories to smart agriculture
demonstrate its applicability across several markets. The idea of an
“Internet of Things” is accepted. IoT-related technologies and
standards are reaching maturity through the work of all major
standardization bodies (e.g. IETF CoRE/ROLL/6TiSCH, WirelessHART,
ISA100.11a, 3GPP MTC, ETSIM2M/OneM2M). Yet, open issues remain which
can slow down adoption. They include: (i) limited interoperability
between vertical silos; (ii) difficulty to guarantee deterministic
service provisioning using interoperable architectures; (iii) limited
flexibility and adaptability of hard real-time service models and
related IoT deployments (iv) lack of definitive Information Centric
Networking approaches to inherent data centric IoT applications; (v)
fragmentation of design guidelines and definitions, which are tightly
tied to each single application domain; (vi) efficient and scalable
service and resource discovery; (vii) mobility support and
self-configuration for smart objects and mobile devices.
The challenges and opportunities arising from a proper integration of
the IoT with mobile computing and industrial systems create a
fascinating research field that deserves in-depth investigations. On
the one hand, mobile devices are expected to become the joining link
between connected smart objects, the web, and end-users. On the other
hand, IoT technologies will play a significant role for the quick
convergence between Operational Management Systems (OMS) and
distributed ICT sensing and actuation platforms. The resulting
Industrial-IoT systems will be characterized by: (i) wire-like
(>99.9%) reliability; (ii) ultra low power (years of battery lifetime,
or energy harvesting capable); (iii) hard constraints on data latency
and throughput. Example applications include: industrial control
loops, umbrella networks, energy harvesting solutions, IoT-aided
robotic systems.
The IoT-Sys workshop is intended to be a forum for exchanging new
ideas about the challenges and symbiosis between the Internet of
Things, Mobile Computing, and Industrial Systems. The workshop aims at
providing a significant contribution by fostering fruitful and
critical discussions between attendees in order to facilitate the
growth of the main pillars of Mobile-IoT applications and
Indutrial-IoT systems, and, more importantly, pave the road towards
networked systems of Information in IoT applications. We are looking
for submissions on topics that are relevant to the Mobile-IoT synergy
and Industrial-IoT. Contributions with experimental focus, real world
experience, and system building are particularly encouraged.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Protocol architectures for industrial-IoT systems
Service Level Agreement and Quality of Service strategies for the IoT
Activity scheduling and determinism in the IoT
Seamless integration in IoT-aided robotics applications
Security, Privacy and Trust in the IoT age
Information Centric Networking design in the IT
Deverticalized middleware for M2M applications in IoT scenarios

OVERVIEW
========
Micro and nano aerial vehicles (MAVs and NAVs), often referred to as
drones, are unmanned aerial vehicles of various forms, such as small
quadrocopters, airplanes, balloons, or tiny flapping wing vehicles. They
are novel mobile unmanned systems currently investigated in various
mission-oriented civilian applications. Recent popular applications
employing MAVs are 3D-mapping, search and rescue, surveillance, farmland
and construction monitoring, delivery of light-weight objects and
products (e.g., Amazon has recently advertised their new drone delivery
system), or video taking during sports events. Such drones are
autonomous systems with a good awareness of their environment, provided
by rich on board sensors, such as gyroscopes, accelerometers, lasers,
GPS units and cameras, and embedded image processing. Nevertheless, all
useful applications require a reliable communication link, or even rely
on fleets of MAVs that need to coordinate their activities.
DroNet welcomes contributions dealing with communication aspects of
micro aerial vehicles, theoretical studies, algorithm and protocol
design for flexible aerial networks, as well as mission-oriented
contributions dealing with requirements, constraints, safety issues, and
regulation. We are particularly looking for papers reporting on system
aspects and experimental results, summaries of challenges or
advancements, measurements, or innovative applications. The program
seeks original work of potentially interdisciplinary teams to present
robotic work or applications focusing on the communication challenges or
requirements to the audience.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Drone ad-hoc networks
- Micro flying systems
- Aerial communication protocol design (requirements and challenges)
- MAC and routing protocols for MAV fleets
- Theoretical analysis and models for drone networks
- Solutions for sparse and dense fleets of MAVs
- Spectrum and regulatory issues
- Mission and context-aware solutions
- Communication for drone coordination
- Mobility-aware and 3D communication
- Delay-tolerant aerial networks and ferrying approaches
- Energy-efficient operation and energy harvesting of MAVs
- Integration of MAVs in mobile, pervasive systems
- MAV-based sensor networks
- Positioning and localization
- Swarm movement, coordination, and behavior
- Autonomous flight
- Artificial intelligence techniques for drones
- Vision and object tracking
- Automated map generation
- Game, entertainment, and multimedia drone applications
- Smart cities and urban applications of MAVs
- Social good applications
- Emergency applications
- Human drone interaction
- Cooperative surveillance, smart cameras and sensors
- Acceptance, security, and privacy aspects
- Experimental results of aerial communication testbeds.
DroNet invites submission of original work not previously published or
under review at another conference
or journal. The workshop will accept full paper, poster, and demo
submissions. Full papers must be no longer
than 6 pages, poster and demonstration papers are limited to 2 pages.
DroNet follows a single-blind review
process. Submissions must be submitted in PDF format and follow the
formatting guidelines provided
at http://www.sigmobile.org/mobisys/2015. The proceedings will contain
full papers as well as poster and
demo submissions and will be published by ACM. All accepted full papers
