The PerCom Demo session provides a venue for the latest breakthroughs in pervasive computing to be presented live to the research community. Demos ranging from examples of working prototypes, novel applications, groundbreaking ideas, and live experiments related to PerCom are all welcome. In particular, we encourage demos from industrial researchers who are leading the way in pushing pervasive technology into the hands of the public. A "Best Demo Award" will be presented based on research value, originality, and presentation. Topics Areas of interest include (but are not limited to): Anticipatory computing Big (Sensor) data Data Science for Pervasive computing Context-aware computing Mobile payments Wearable computers Smart devices and their integration Positioning and tracking technologies Integrated pervasive computing systems (smart spaces, smart cities, etc.) Mobile/wireless computing systems and services Pervasive computing for smart infrastructures (e-energy, e-mobility etc.) Pervasive computing for smart Life Science (e-health, m-health, bioinformatics, etc) Energy-efficient and sustainable pervasive computing Reliability, availability and performance of pervasive computing Opportunistic communication for pervasive systems Sensing and actuation for pervasive systems Trust, security and privacy solutions for pervasive systems Novel user interfaces and user interaction in pervasive systems Submission Guidelines Prospective contributors are expected to submit a demo proposal in the form of a short technical paper (no more than 3 pages) using the IEEE templates (https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html). The short paper must illustrate the research contribution of the demo, the practical setup, and the technical requirements. Short demo papers will be included in the PerCom proceedings. All demo proposals must be registered and submitted through the EDAS (edas.info/N27736) submission site. The demo proposals will be peer-reviewed. The evaluation criteria include: (1) extent and significance of a prototype conveying new research ideas or compelling novel applications; (2) relevance to PerCom; (3) potential impact on the audience; (4) quality and feasibility of the proposed implementation; (5) presentation quality. At least one author of each accepted demo proposal is required to register and present their demo at the conference. Smart cities are expected to grow, fed by millions of data points from multitudes of human and physical sources. Cyber-attacks grow more nefarious, bringing down physical systems. Social networks are becoming ubiquitous, offering information on physical things. The separation between cyber, physical, and social systems is blurring. Collectively, these developments lead to the emergence of a new field, where the networking and physical realms meet. It is the field of the Internet of Things (IoT). This conference is an interdisciplinary forum to discuss challenges, technologies, and emerging directions in system design and implementation that pertain to IoT. This conference invites researchers and practitioners from academia, industry and government, and accepts original, previously unpublished work on a range of topics related to IoT. This has strained the health care systems and economies of many countries and changed the way people live and work. In order to reduce the number of cases, social distancing, isolation and contact tracking have been widely deployed. Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) played major role in supporting our new lifestyle, involving self-quarantine, working from home, virtual conferencing, online education and remote patient monitoring. Data collection, processing and analytics, surveillance, contact tracing, and eHealth, are utilized to face, and control the impact of, the pandemic. This Feature Topic (FT) aims at soliciting high-quality articles covering the research and development efforts to utilize advanced networking technologies to contain the global COVID-19 health crisis and to prepare humanity to face similar challenges in future. This FT is an opportunity to engage scholars, researchers, experts, and professionals from academia, industry, governments into this topic to share their ideas, work, and findings in network-based technologies, protocols, and applications to combat the COVID-19 outbreak and similar ones. The conference will consider four categories of submissions: • Full papers should describe novel research contributions and are limited in length to eight (8) printed pages including figures, tables, and references. Papers exceeding 8 pages will be declined automatically and will not be reviewed. • Short papers should be more visionary in nature and may report on work-in-progress without fully finished results. They are meant to present novel perspectives, so as to foster discussions about innovative directions and new points of view. They are limited to at most four (4) pages including figures, tables, and references, but might in many cases be even shorter. It not only guarantees but also capable and computes a big-data to provide better network experience to mobile end users. The Fog computing augmentation within the 5G network will build a unique framework to improve network capability, and provide a faster real-time interface to applications. This lead to the researcher for the development of fog networks. The fog networks is the next-generation platform that extends cloud computing services and cellular networking, such as 5G or 5G beyond (5GB) by utilizing the fog computing expertise and adding new interfaces to facilitate the mobile end-users with improved network performance. This workshop introduces a new domain of futuristic cellular networks called “Fog Networks”, and it is complementary to cloud aided 5G networks. The proposed workshop provides the opportunity to identify the major challenges, advancements, analysis, optimization, and performance in fog networks, which arise due to distinct features of fog computing and networking. This workshop will provide us a platform to discuss the necessary modification, optimization, methodology, and possible solutions for its deployment. *AREAS OF INTEREST* We seek original, completed, and unpublished work that is not currently under review by any other journal, magazine, conference, or workshop. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: - Fog architectures for next generation cellular networks. - Fog computing service and applications for cellular networks. - Network management in fog networks. - Cloud infrastructure support for fog networks. - Fog networks performance over the 5G networks. - Resource management and scheduling in fog networks. - Mobility management in fog networks. - Data management in fog networks. - Security, privacy, and trust management in fog networks. - Quality of service and Quality of experience in fog networks. *SUBMISSION* Submissions must be original, unpublished work, and not under consideration at another conference or journal.
