ICCPS2025
call for papers
The 16th ACM/IEEE International Conference on Cyber-Physical Systems
(ICCPS) will take place in Irvine, California, USA, from May 6-9, 2025 as
part of the CPS-IoT Week 2025.
ACM/IEEE International Conference on Cyber-Physical Systems (ICCPS) is the
premier forum for presenting and discussing the most significant recent
technical research contributions in the field of Cyber-Physical Systems
(CPS). ICCPS 2025 will be part of the CPS-IoT Week 2025. In addition to the
general track, we are inviting papers to be submitted to three special
tracks of ICCPS 2025: (i) Assured Autonomy in CPS, (ii) Medical CPS, and
(iii) Deployments and Industrial Applications.
General Track calls for papers that make substantial technical
contributions to the foundational aspects of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS)
science. Papers should be motivated by one or more applications of CPS,
offering novel perspectives or advancements that significantly add to the
current understanding or development of CPS technologies.
Assured Autonomy in CPS Track calls for submissions in topics related
to safety of AI, ML and autonomous components in the context of safety
critical CPS. We invite papers that delve into the safety aspects of AI and
ML-enabled CPS, discussing risks, mitigation strategies, as well as new
methodologies and technologies, including but not limited to neurosymbolic
and physics-inspired approaches, contributing to the secure and reliable
operation of these systems.
Medical CPS Track calls for submissions in topics related to the
development and application of CPS technologies in medical-device and
healthcare systems. Submissions across the entire application spectrum,
including but not limited to studies that address problems in wearable
devices as well as their integration in an end-to-end information and
decision system, are welcome.
Deployments and Industrial Applications Track seeks papers that
describe innovative industrial applications or practices related to CPS. We
encourage submissions that provide outside of the lab, real-world
deployments, and report on challenges and state-of-the-art practices in CPS
deployment in industrial settings. Please note, at least one co-author
should have a clear association with the industry.
The topics of interest include (but are not limited to)
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for CPS including Safe
Autonomy
Safety and Resilience for CPS
Architectures and Networking for CPS
Software platforms and systems for CPS
Foundations of CPS
Human-machine interactions
Sensing and monitoring
Specification languages and requirements
Design, optimization, and synthesis
Testing, verification, certification, assurance
Security, trust, and privacy in CPS
Ethics by design in CPS
Tools, testbeds, demonstrations and deployments
CPS applications in power systems, infrastructure networks,
transportation, healthcare, automotive, aerospace, etc.
Papers in all tracks will be judged on soundness, significance,
verifiability of claims, and presentation quality.
The accepted papers will be included in the conference proceeding published
via ACM. A small subset of the accepted papers will be nominated for the
Best Paper Award, and one paper among them will be selected to win the
award. Additionally, these nominated papers will be invited for submission
of extensions of their work to a special issue of ACM Transactions on
Cyber-Physical Systems.
We also encourage authors of the accepted papers to participate in Artifact
Evaluation. Papers that pass the Artifact Evaluation process will receive a

Track on Accessible Devices and Technologies (ADT ‘25)
Sicily, Italy, March 31 – April 4, 2025
Part of the 40thACM/SIGAPP Symposium on Applied Computing (SAC ‘25)
https://sites.google.com/view/adt-sac-2025
<https://sites.google.com/view/adt-sac-2025>
https://www.sigapp.org/sac/sac2025/ <https://www.sigapp.org/sac/sac2025/>
Theme and Scope
Modern devices and technologies can represent a digital barrier for users
with disabilities, but they can be exploited to become enabling tools for
them. Accessibility of devices and technologies is a critical topic to
allow inclusion of all users, especially due to the European laws that
impose accessibility for new products and the definition of an updated
version of WCAG (Web Accessibility Guidelines). This track invites
scientists, engineers, and decision-makers from government, industry, and
academia to present technical papers on their research and development
results in areas of accessibility.
This track can interest many researchers since it would give the chance to
face a wide range of topics, i.e., web or mobile technologies, with
different points of view, taking into account specific technological
constraints and digital barriers. It is well-known that the so-called “curb
cut effect” can be applied to any technological and digital context (in
terms of devices, content, and services): technologies that were originally
meant to benefit people with disabilities can help any other users.
Moreover, the history and the evolution of several technologies have been
influenced and/or motivated by the special needs of people with disabilities.
We welcome submission on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:
*
Accessible devices/assistive technologies: assistive technologies refer
to all the assistive, adaptive, and rehabilitative devices for people
with disabilities that enable users to perform tasks they were formerly
unable to accomplish. On the one hand, the widespread diffusion of new
devices and technologies stimulates researchers to find and apply new
solutions to make them accessible to anyone. On the other hand,
experiences in accessibility-related fields have been exploited and
have provided benefits to users equipped with non-conventional devices
when they emerged in the market.
*
Accessible solutions for e-learning, e-commerce, e-banking, etc:
e-services and content often require specific technologies, being
bounded by specific constraints when accessed by people with
disabilities equipped with assistive technologies. Specific interaction
modalities may affect interactive service access, while richness and
quantity of content may affect the users’ ability to process information.
*
Accessible content: e-books, accessible TV, accessible broadcasting, etc.
*
Accessibility of games.
*
AI for Accessibility: AI can be exploited both for personalization
(i.e., integrating AI-based personalization to support specific and
special needs) and “enabler” (i.e., exploiting LLM to support the
creation of accessible applications).
Submission Guidelines
We would like to invite authors to submit papers on research on the
Accessibility area, with particular emphasis on assessing the current state
of the art and identifying future directions. Original papers addressing
any of the listed topics of interest (or related topics) will be
considered. Each submitted paper will be fully refereed and undergo a
double-blind review process by at least three referees. Accepted papers
will be included in the ACM SAC 2025 proceedings and published in the ACM
digital library, being indexed by Thomson ISI Web of Knowledge and Scopus.
The track accepts full papers (max 8 pages), posters (max 2 pages), and SRC
abstracts (max 2 pages). Submissions should be properly anonymized to
facilitate blind reviewing. Papers that will receive high reviews (that is
acceptable by reviewer standard) but will not be accepted due to space
limitations can be invited for poster session. Authors of accepted papers
must be prepared to sign a copyright statement and must pay the
registration fee and guarantee that their paper will be presented at the
conference. No-show of scheduled papers will result in excluding the papers
from the ACM Digital Library.
See the track website https://sites.google.com/view/adt-sac-2025

CALL FOR PAPERS
45th IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems (IEEE
ICDCS 2025), 20-23 July, 2025, Glasgow, Scotland, UK
https://icdcs2025.icdcs.org/
SCOPE
The 45th IEEE International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems
(IEEE ICDCS 2025) is the premier international forum for researchers and
practitioners to present, discuss and exchange cutting edge ideas as well
as the latest findings on topics related to all aspects of distributed
computing systems. The conference will be held over July 20-23rd, 2025 in
Glasgow, Scotland, UK. We invite you to submit original contributions to
IEEE ICDCS 2025 (https://icdcs2025.icdcs.org/)
Papers can be submitted to one of the following tracks:
* Cloud Computing
* Distributed Algorithms
* Big Data, Models & Systems
* Distributed Fault Tolerance
* Distributed OS and Middleware
* Edge Computing
* IoT + CPS
* Mobile Computing
* Security, Privacy and Trust
* Blockchains/Databases
* Distributed Systems for AI/ML
* AI/ML for Distributed Systems
* Deployed/Emergent Applications & Infrastructures
PAPER SUBMISSION
The Paper strand provides the opportunity for researchers to present their
new state-of-the-art research in Distributed Computing Systems, which
makes, or has the potential to make, a significant contribution to the field.
Papers must be original and unpublished and must not be submitted
concurrently for publication elsewhere. All paper submissions should follow
the IEEE 8.5'' x 11'' two-column format using 10pt fonts and the IEEE
Conference template (downloadable by selecting “Conferences” in the
IEEE-Template Selector https://template-selector.ieee.org/
<https://template-selector.ieee.org/>). Each submission can have up to
eleven (11) pages (including figures, tables, appendices, and references).
Papers exceeding this page limit or with smaller fonts will be
desk-rejected without review.
The paper review process is double-blind. Authors are required to take all
reasonable steps to preserve the anonymity of their submission. The
submission must not include author information and must not include
citations or discussion of related work that would make the authorship
apparent. While authors can upload their paper to institutional or other
preprint repositories such as arXiv.org before reviewing is complete, we
generally discourage this since it places anonymity at risk. If authors
decide to upload their paper to a preprint site, they must make sure that
the title and abstract of their submission to
ICDCS are different from the title and abstract of the preprint version, so
that it is not immediately obvious that the two versions are by the same
authors and with the same content. To encourage reproducibility, we
encourage the authors, whenever it is possible, to include in their paper a
link to an anonymised GitHub repository with all source code, scripts and
data needed for the reproduction of their results.
For each accepted paper, at least one author is required to pay a full
author registration and attend the conference in-person to present their
work on-site. Any no-show papers will be reported to the publisher and
removed from the conference proceedings.
For authors with multiple papers accepted by the conference, a separate
author registration is required for each paper. The authors should adhere
to ethic and professional standards of IEEE. Please refer to IEEE Code of
Ethics and IEEE Policy of AI-Generated Text.
Note: A set of highly selected IEEE ICDCS 2025 papers will be considered
for publication in the IEEE Transactions on Parallel and Distributed
Systems (TPDS). The selected papers will undergo an extension process,
transforming them from their initial IEEE ICDCS conference format. These
extended versions will then be subject to a review by an editor from IEEE TPDS.

Call for Papers
Fifth Workshop on Human-Centered Computational Sensing (HCCS’25) co-located
with the IEEE PerCom 2025, March 17-21, 2025 - Washington DC, USA.
https://sites.google.com/view/hccs25/home
The fifth edition of the Human-Centered Computational Sensing (HCCS’25)
workshop aims to advance and promote research on how unobtrusive
observations of human cognitive, behavioral, physiological, and contextual
data are increasingly enabling innovative computing experiences. The
workshop will also foster discussions about the societal implications of
computational sensing. Traditionally, sensors have been understood narrowly
as devices that capture physiological measurements, often through
wearables. This workshop adopts a broader, human-centric perspective,
envisioning sensing as time-evolving measurable data directly linked to
individuals and their communities. With this approach, sensing encompasses
human reactions and interactions observed through spoken, written, or
signed language, eye gaze, facial and bodily expressions, social networks,
geospatial patterns, and other forms of human-generated data. Advances in
multimodal human data acquisition and fusion have the potential to
significantly impact all areas of human life, including productivity,
health and well-being, training and education, human-computer interaction,
accessibility, safety and security, as well as gaming, sports, and
entertainment.
Relevant topics include but are not limited to:
* Context-Aware Sensing for Adaptive Learning Environments
* Emotion Recognition through Physiological and Behavioral Signals
* Personalized Well-being Applications using Continuous Sensing
* Smart Workplaces through Behavioral Sensing
* Human Activity Recognition in Unstructured Environments
* Emotion-Adaptive Interfaces for Human-Computer Interaction
* Geospatial Behavior Analysis for Urban Planning
* Fusion of multifaceted, heterogeneous, and/or incommensurable human
sensing data * Localization and proximity-detection systems * AI-empowered
mobile sensing systems
* Generative AI for synthetic sensor data generation and evaluation
* User acceptance, quality of experience, and social impact studies
* Accessibility of human sensing technologies
* New interventions acting on human-centered computational sensing
* Experimental analysis with human sensing data from real-world applications
* Human-centered sensing for healthcare, industry, social goods and all
possible application domains
* Experiences and lessons learned from research projects focused on
human-centered computational sensing
* Privacy and ethical considerations for human-centered computational
sensing, including gender equality.
Organizers will consider the possibility of inviting authors of selected
papers accepted to HCCS’25 to submit an extended work to a Special Issue of
an international journal.
Submission and Registration:
Authors are invited to submit technical or theoretical papers for
presentation at the workshop, describing original, previously unpublished
work, which is not currently under review by another workshop, conference,
or journal. Papers should present novel perspectives within the general
scope of the workshop.
Accepted workshop papers will be included and indexed in the IEEE digital
libraries (Xplore).
Papers may be no more than 6 pages in length. Authors can purchase one
additional page for the camera-ready version. Papers in excess of the page
limits will not be considered for review or publication. All papers must be
typeset in double-column IEEE format using 10pt fonts on US letter paper,
with all fonts embedded. The IEEE LaTeX and Microsoft Word templates, as
well as related information, can be found at the IEEE website.
Submission instructions will be available soon on the workshop and
conference websites.
It is a requirement that all the authors listed in the submitted paper are
also listed in the submission system. Each accepted workshop paper requires
a full PerCom registration (no registration is available for workshops
only). Papers that are not presented in presence at the workshop will not
be published in the proceedings.
