CALL FOR PAPERS
The IEEE LCN 2025 conference seeks papers presenting significant research
contributions in theoretical and practical aspects of computer networking.
LCN is a highly interactive conference that enables an effective exchange
of research outcomes and ideas among academics, research students, and
industry. For the past 49 years, major developments from network protocols
and sensor networks to AI-supported networking and emerging areas like
quantum networking have been reported at this conference.
LCN welcomes submissions on wide range of computer networking research,
including but not limited to the following:
+ Adaptive networking applications
+ AI-enabled networking
+ Cognitive radio networks
+ Cross-layer optimization
+ Cyber-physical systems
+ Data center networking
+ Decentralized Systems and Blockchain Networks
+ Delay-tolerant networks
+ Digital Twins
+ Edge and Cloud computing
+ E-Health networking
+ Embedded networks
+ Green and sustainable networking
+ Information-centric networking
+ Internet of Things

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Authors are invited to submit papers describing original, previously
unpublished work, not currently under review by another conference,
workshop, or journal. The LCN Conference implements a double-blind review
process. Authors must make a good faith effort to anonymize their
submissions, and they should not identify themselves either explicitly or
by implication. Papers must be registered on EDAS and submitted in PDF format.
There are a number of tracks that are designed to improve interactions of
experts over different stages in research development.
-Full Regular papers (maximum 8 pages plus references, 10 pt font in IEEE
format) should present novel perspectives within the general scope of the

*_FMEC 2025 CFP:_*
Cloud computing provides a large range of services and virtually unlimited
available resources for users. New applications, such as virtual reality
and smart building control, have emerged due to the large number of
resources and services brought by cloud computing. However, the
delay-sensitive applications face the problem of large latency, especially
when several smart devices and objects are getting involved in human’s life
such as the case of smart cities or Internet of Things. Therefore, cloud
computing is unable to meet the requirements of low latency, location
awareness, and mobility support. To solve this problem, researchers have
introduced a trusted and dependable solution through the Fog and the Mobile
Edge Computing (FMEC) to put the services and resources of the cloud closer
to users, which facilitate the leveraging of available services and
resources in the edge networks. By this, we are moving from the core (cloud
data centers) to the edge of the network closer to the users. FMEC
dependability is based on providing user centric service. The purpose of
Fog and the Mobile Edge Computing is to run the heavy real-time
applications at the network edge directly using the billions of connected
mobile devices.
Several features enable the Fog and the Mobile Edge Computing to be a
perfect paradigm to the aforementioned purpose, which are the dense
geographical deployment of servers, supporting mobility and the closeness
to users. As in every new technology, some challenges face the vision of
the Fog and the Mobile Edge Computing, which are the administrative
policies and security concerns (i.e. secure data storage, secure
computation, network security, data privacy, usage privacy, location
privacy, etc). FMEC 2025 conference aims to investigate the opportunities
and requirements for Mobile Edge Computing dominance. In addition, it seeks
for novel contributions that help mitigate Mobile Edge Computing
challenges. That is, the objective of FMEC 2025 is to provide a forum for
scientists, engineers, and researchers to discuss and exchange new ideas,
novel results and experience on all aspects of Fog and Mobile Edge
Computing (FMEC). FMEC 2025 is Technically Co-Sponsored by IEEE Florida
Section. Researchers are encouraged to submit original research
contributions in all major areas, which include, but not limited to the
following:
* Fog and Mobile Edge Computing in unmanned aerial vehicle communications
and applications
* Fog and Mobile Edge Computing in mission-critical systems
* Intelligent Transportation Systems
* Edge-cloud computing architectures, frameworks and platforms
* Edge-cloud networking and communication
* Quality of Service (QoS) improvement techniques
* Network virtualization for Edge-to-cloud systems
* FMEC and IoT Data Communication Protocols
* Industrial Fog and Mobile Edge Computing Applications
* Mobile Cloud Computing Systems and Applications
* FMEC in Environmental Sustainability
* Trustworthy AI for Edge and Fog Computing
* Security and Privacy in Fog and Mobile Edge Computing
* Decentralized Data Management and Streaming Systems in FMEC

Critical National Infrastructures (CNIs) are vital assets for public
safety, economic welfare, and the national security of countries.
Vulnerabilities of critical infrastructures have increased with the
widespread use of information technologies. As CNIs are becoming more
vulnerable to cyberattacks, their protection becomes a significant issue
for any organization as well as nation. The risks to continued operations
from failing to upgrade aging infrastructure or not meeting mandated
regulatory regimes are considered higher given the demonstrable impact of
such circumstances. Due to the rapid increase of sophisticated cyber
threats targeting critical infrastructures with significant destructive
effects, the cyber security of CNIs has become an agenda item for
academics, practitioners, and policy makers. A holistic view which covers
technical, policy, human, and behavioral aspects is essential to handle
cyber security effectively. Moreover, the ability to attribute crimes to
criminals is a vital element of avoiding impunity in cyberspace. In this
workshop, both research and practical aspects of cyber security
considerations in critical infrastructures are of interest. Aligned with
the interdisciplinary nature of cyber security, authors from academia,
government, and industry are welcome to contribute.
The topics include, but not limited to:
* Cyber security of industrial control systems**
* Cyber security modeling and simulation
* Cyber threat modeling and analysis
* Safety-security interactions
* Behavioral modeling
* Network security and protocols
* Security, privacy, and legal issues of big data and the Internet of Things
* Cyber threat intelligence
* Situational awareness
* Attack modeling, prevention, mitigation, and defense
* Critical infrastructure security policies, standards and regulations
* Encryption, authentication, availability assurance
* Human awareness and training
* Intrusion detection
* Trust and privacy
* Secure communication protocols
* Malware analysis
* Blockchain and ZKPs
