*INTRODUCTION*
---------------------
Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and Cyber-Social Systems (CSS) are emerging
cross-disciplinary research areas that feature the combination of
computational and physical elements.
CSS is rapidly evolving due to the popularity of online social networking.
With the advent of ubiquitous sensing and networking, future social
networks involve cyber-physical interactions
among associated social attributes. Cyber-Physical-Social Systems (CPSS)
are known as the integration between CPS and CSS.
The 18th IEEE International Conference on Cyber, Physical and Social
Computing (CPSCom 2025) will be held in Zhengzhou, Henan, China, October
30- November 02, 2025, will provide

Call for Papers - ReNeSys 2025 - *Submission deadline is extended to June 7!*
*****************************************************************************************
*The 1st Workshop on Resilient Networks and Systems (ReNeSys 2025)*
(in conjunction with the NetSys 2025)
September 1, 2025
Ilmenau, Germany
https://www.resilient-worlds.org/renesys/
https://kuvs.de/netsys/2025
*****************************************************************************************
Resilience, as an emerging research field, is strongly required as a core
property of all
kinds of critical systems. It describes the ability of a system to absorb
shocks,
recover promptly, adapt to maintain comparable functionality, and continuously
improve by learning from such incidents. With the increasing complexity and
heterogeneity
of critical networks and systems, the scope of resilience is going beyond
traditional
fault tolerance and security paradigms and encompasses emerging
requirements such as
ultra-reliability, deterministic performance, trustworthiness, and privacy.
This also
necessitates advanced resilience measures, incorporating artificial
intelligence (AI) and
machine learning (ML) models, quantum security, real-time and distributed
reconfiguration
methods etc.
Accordingly,*the Workshop on Resilient Networks and Systems (ReNeSys 2025)*
targets new
approaches for design, analysis, and evaluation of next-generation
resilient networks and
interconnected systems. It invites contributions for advanced techniques to
overcome complex
resilience challenges and to achieve various resilience objectives like
dependability,
security, robustness etc. The workshop spans diverse domains, including
wired and wireless
communication, Internet of Things (IoT), vehicular networks, cyber-physical
systems,
energy-constrained/intermittently powered systems, mobile edge computing,
distributed
operating systems, software-defined systems and beyond.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
* Theoretical resilience frameworks and models
* Complex failure and threat models, and emerging resilience
challenges (e.g., power-failure
resilience, large-scale disasters, high mobility etc.)
* Resilient hardware design (e.g., microprocessors, SoCs, sensors,
quantum computer)
* Resilient software design (e.g., applications, middlewares,
operating systems)
* Resilient virtualized systems (e.g., cloud/edge/fog computing
paradigms, SOA)
* Resilient network technologies and paradigms (e.g., 5G/6G, TSN,
network coding)
* Anomaly detection, prevention, prediction, and mitigation techniques
* System and network orchestration and (re)configuration schemes for
resilience
* AI for resilience and resilience for AI (e.g., federated learning,
explainable AI)
* Metrics and evaluation methods for qualitative and quantitative
resilience analysis
* Case studies, testbeds, simulation frameworks, and prototypes
*****************************************************************************************
*Important Dates:*
* Paper Submission Deadline: May 30, 2025, June 7, 2025
* Notification of Acceptance: June 27, 2025, July 4, 2025
* Camera-Ready Paper Submission: July 4, 2025, July 14, 2025
*****************************************************************************************
*Submission:*
ReNeSys 2025 accepts the submissions in the form of (i) new ideas in early
research phase,
(ii) work-in-progress papers (WIP), or (iii) extended abstracts for already
published works.
All submissions should be up to 3 pages (including references) in IEEE
double-column conference
format. They will be submitted electronically via:
https://renesys25.hotcrp.com/
Each submission will be reviewed and assessed single-blind by two
reviewers. The accepted papers
will be officially published open access (i.e., DOI-indexed) with the TU
Berlin library.

Theme/Aims and Scope of the Special Issue
While numerous research works have been done on various topics of Vehicular
Ad-hoc Networks (VANET) and Internet of Vehicles (IoV), the issues related
to fault tolerance and reliability need more efficient and pragmatic
solutions. Fault in VANET and IoV can be caused mainly due to hardware
failure or software bug or malfunction. In plain terms, fault can be
defined as an error (or, irregular activity) that causes such a network to
work erroneously or renders it not to provide the expected service. Again,
fault tolerance is the characteristic that allows the network to operate at
least at a satisfactory level so that some of the services can still be
provided even after the occurrence of an error or fault. Reliability is
related to this in the sense that a faultless or fault tolerant system can
be preferable to be relied upon. In the existing literature, there are some
sporadic efforts for addressing fault tolerance and reliability issues in
VANET and IoV, and the focus is often given
explicitly on security, energy-efficiency, and so on. While those other
issues are somewhat intertwined with the concept of fault and reliability,
and often, they impact each other directly, in this special issue (SI), we
are interested in a special focus on the fault tolerant and reliable
mechanisms, especially connectivity developed for VANET and IoV. There are
in fact a number of tools, techniques and applications that have somewhat
addressed this area in general but we hope that a special issue will offer
a good platform for the researchers to publish the most recent advancements
and trends in this focus area.
Topics for this SI include, but are not limited to:
- Fault tolerance ensuring tools and techniques in VANET/IoV
- Applications of fault tolerant VANET/IoV
- Ensuring reliability of VANET/IoV
- Fault detection and correction mechanisms for VANET/IoV
- Performance impact under faulty condition in VANET/IoV
- Reliability and trust in VANET/IoV
- Connectivity assurance in VANET/IoV

Call for Papers and Workshop Proposals
27th International Conference on Distributed Computing and Networking
(ICDCN 2026)
January 6-9 2026 Nara, Japan
http://icdcn.org/
*** paper submission deadline: July 25, 2025 ***
The International Conference on Distributed Computing and Networking
(ICDCN) is a premier international conference dedicated to addressing
advances in Distributed Computing and Communication Networks. The 27th
edition of this conference will be held at the Nara Kasugano International
Forum IRAKA, located in a historical city, Nara, Japan. Nara is the most
historic and spiritual center of Japan, where the first capital city was
built over 1300 years ago. Close to Kyoto and Osaka and quickly accessible
by train, Nara has World Heritage sites and well-preserved temples and
shrines. ICDCN 2026 will consist of a highly selective technical program
consisting of refereed papers, distinguished keynotes, an industrial track,
workshops, tutorials, posters and demos, and a doctoral symposium on
emerging topics about distributed computing and networking.
The proceedings of ICDCN 2026, including all satellite events such as
posters, demos, and workshops, will be published in the ACM International
Conference Proceeding Series (ICPS). Additionally, extended versions of
selected papers will be invited for fast-track publications in the
Theoretical Computer Science (TCS) Journal or in Elsevier's Pervasive and
Mobile Computing (PMC) Journal.
** Call for Papers
Regular Papers should not exceed 10 pages double-column including figures,
tables, and references in standard ACM format. Regular papers may include a
clearly marked Appendix with all the additional details required to
validate the results (including technical proofs and experimental results
that did not fit into the first 10 pages). Short Papers must not exceed 5
pages double-column including figures, tables, and references in standard
ACM format. At least one author of each accepted paper must register for
the conference and present the paper. All papers must be submitted through
the EasyChair portal. For more details, visit the conference web site.
