abstract of 100-150 words. Short papers must be 2-4 pages long
(two-column format) and include an abstract of 100-150 words. All papers
should be formatted according to the "IEEE transactions" format. Short
papers are suitable for interactive discussions. Presentation time of
accepted regular and short papers is decided on acceptance notification.
Topics of regular/short paper track include but are not limited to:

Industry Paper Track
INSS also offers an industry track. In this track, new and interesting
developments in networks for industrial applications can be recognizsed,
whether in the area of sensor systems, wireless networks, industrial
network applications, networks for safety related systems and
applications, different security aspects in networks fault tolerant and
redundant networks and many others. This session focuses on innovative,
new and interesting network applications and research results for
industries or developments which will be important in the near future.
The industry track intend to provide discussion for practitioners,
developers, and researchers in order to examine practical issues.
Industry papers are suitable for industry researchers to present not
only technical, but also practical issues surrounding production,
deployment, and commercialisation of networked sensing technology.
Industry papers must be 2-4 pages long (two-column format) and include
an abstract of 100-150 words. Papers should be formatted according to
the "IEEE transactions" format. The submitted industry papers will be
reviewed by industry track TPC members and . aAccepted industry papers
will be presented in the main conference's industry track session.
Presentation time is decided on acceptance notification. The industry

in conjunction with PerCom 2012 (http://www.percom.org)

CALL FOR PAPERS
The key components of many pervasive systems and applications are already
deployed in the form of ubiquitous commercial products carried by humans.
Human mobility makes it possible for such key components to interact,
promoting cooperation and sharing of content, services and resources.
Smartphones, tablet PCs, and other personal devices act as mobile computing
elements able to gather information about the surrounding environment
according to the mobility of users. In other situations these devices
operate as mobile nodes of the computing and/or networking infrastructure,
where interaction and communication occur opportunistically.
The goal of PerMoby is to explore the impact of human mobility on the
achievement of the pervasive computing vision. The focus is on pervasive
applications, systems, and protocols where mobility plays an active role
in achieving the end goals.
Original papers addressing both theoretical and practical aspects of
human-centric applications and systems are solicited. Papers describing
prototype implementations and deployment of such applications and systems
are particularly welcome. The submission of papers on controversial issues
is also encouraged. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- pervasive systems and applications based on (or influenced by) human
mobility
- mobile phone sensing applications and systems
- opportunistic and participatory sensing, and anything in between
- opportunistic computing
- pervasive systems with humans in the loop
- wearable sensing systems
- mobility models
- distributed computing approaches that rely on human mobility
- impact of human mobility on wireless communication
- green pervasive applications that leverage human mobility
- mobility aware protocols
- opportunistic networking
PAPER SUBMISSION
Papers should contain original material and should not be previously
published or currently submitted for consideration elsewhere. Manuscripts
are limited to a maximum of 6 pages in IEEE conference format. Accepted
papers will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press in the combined
PerCom 2012 Workshops Proceedings and will appear on IEEE Xplore. At least
one author of each accepted paper must register and attend the workshop
to present the paper. There is no workshop-only registration. An oral
presentation at the workshop is strictly required. Failure to present the
paper at the workshop will result in the withdrawal of the paper from
the proceedings as well as from IEEE Xplore. Paper submission will be

> Incredible improvements in nanotechnologies have enabled the vision of nanonetworks composed of a number of nanomachines communicating with each other for a specific nanoscale application. Unlike conventional communication systems, communicating at the wireless nanoscale brings along new challenges. For example, new frequency bands have to be utilized ‚in the order of the Terahertz‚ due to the size of nanomachines and, thus, their antennas; also nanonetworks require a large set of functions to be performed including addressing, information propagation, medium access control. However, traditional solutions may not be applied due to very strict constraints in terms of computing/communication capabilities characterizing nanomachines.
>
> This special issue aims to capture the state-of-the-art by soliciting original (unpublished and not currently under review) and novel contributions on wireless communications at the nanoscale in areas including (but not limited to) the following:
>
> * Architectures, topologies, and algorithms for wireless nanoscale
> communications and nanonetworks
> * Modeling and analysis of wireless nano communications
> * Wireless nanoscale communications with nano-optics and nano-photonics
> * Information theoretical approaches to wireless nanoscale communications
> * Nano components/structures for wireless communications (e.g., graphene,
> nanoribbons, carbon nanotubes (CNT))
> * Wireless nanoscale ad hoc and sensor networks
> * Wireless quantum communication networks
> * Applications for wireless nanoscale communications
> * New wireless nanoscale communication paradigms
> * Energy models for wireless nano communications
> * Protocols for wireless electromagnetic/molecular communications
