[Please accept our apologies if you receive multiple copies of this Call for Papers.]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
DEADLINE EXTENSION FOR WORKSHOP PAPERS
FAILSAFE 2020
The Second International Workshop on the Engineering of Reliable, Robust, and
Secure Embedded Wireless Sensing Systems
17th February 2020
Lyon, France
http://wp.doc.ic.ac.uk/failsafe/
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The deadline for FAILSAFE has been extended to the 22nd of November!
Please send us the stories and accounts of the problems that you have
faced doing actual Wireless Sensor System deployments. All accounts of issues
that you have encountered are valuable records of the types of problems that
need to be overcome in order to create a principled engineering approach to
sensor systems embedded in the environment.
We only seek a six page submission, and respect confidentiality (Charter House
rules) where required.
IMPORTANT DATES
Paper submission: 22nd November, 2019
Acceptance notification: 10th December, 2019
Camera ready: 20th December, 2019
Workshop date: 17th February, 2020
TOPICS OF INTEREST
Papers describing and presenting data of problems and failures of experimental
efforts, practical experiences, and industrial and commercial developments in
all aspects of sensor networks, mobile devices, and wireless communication are
solicited. Within this domain, particular topics of interest include, but are
not limited to:
• Failure and the diagnosis of an actual deployment of mobile apps, net-
works and systems. Must include some data and analysis of what caused
the failure.
• Examples of a deployment that was tested, and failed due to unexpected
circumstances. The testing methodology must be presented and discussed,
as well as how it failed to account for the phenomenon that caused the
failure, and a potential solution described.
• Testing frameworks or verification methodologies that have arisen out
of sensor system deployment failures, and are currently used to prevent
similar failures of wireless sensor systems.
• Monitoring tools or control systems that have been used in actual deployments
and have been used to detect and diagnose node or system
performance issues or failures.
• Any documented examples with data showing the effects of a malicious
or nefarious attack on a deployed embedded wireless sensor system.
SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
Submissions should not be previously published and not currently under review
by another conference or journal. Original papers must have up to 6 pages
including references. Please visit the workshop web page for more details:

solicited in all areas of networking, ranging from traffic engineering
and control with application also to emerging softwarized/virtualized
network paradigms, up to innovative wireless scenarios brought about by
the emergence of 5G and IoT systems. We especially encourage original
contributions which bridge the gap between performance modeling and
real-life operational aspects, including works which leverage
measurement data to provide a better understanding of the wired and
wireless networks’ operation under realistic conditions.
ITC 32 is specifically organized into four (partially overlapping) areas
(for a more detailed track description please refer to the conference
website):

Betreff: [TCCC-ANNOUNCE] CFP: IEEE INFOCOM 2020 Workshop NI-CPS
Dear Colleagues:
Please accept our sincere apologies if you receive multiple copies of this message.
======================================================================
Call for Papers: IEEE INFOCOM 2020 Workshop NI-CPS: Modeling, Analysis
and Advancement of Network Infrastructure in Cyber-Physical Systems
======================================================================
Modern societies are witnessing the prevalence of a wide assortment of cyber-physical systems (CPS)
built upon network infrastructure for mission-critical applications, such as industrial control systems (ICS),
and society-enabling services, such as intelligent transportation systems (ITS). Such applications and
services may demand various levels of performance of their CPS network infrastructure, from strict and
deterministic to lenient or probabilistic ones, for system agility, safety, stability and resilience. Therefore,
there is an increasing interest in modeling and analyzing network infrastructure in CPS and advancing
its design and application.
For example, there is a technological convergence in realizing delay-constrained CPS based on
real-time-capable Ethernet. IEEE TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking) technologies have been
discussed to be incorporated into Profinet (Process Field Net) and AFDX (Avionic Full-Duplex Ethernet).
Moreover, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) has established a working group for Deterministic
Networking (DetNet) that is closely collaborating with IEEE TSN in order to bring its concepts to the
Internet. Additionally, in the context of 5G networks, the Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communication (URLLC)
require new methods to prove guaranteed low latency for safety-critical CPS (e.g. self-driving vehicles)
in the presence of highly volatile wireless channels potentially affected by deep fades and cell edge situations.
In this workshop, any topics related to modeling, analysis, and advancement of network infrastructure in CPS
will be considered. For example:
· Delay performance or timeliness property of network infrastructure in CPS
· Time-sensitive networking
· Reliability analysis of network infrastructure in CPS
· Ultra-reliable and low-latency communication networks
· Modeling, analysis, and advancement of SDN (Software Defined Networks) in CPS
· Deterministic networking
· Modeling, analysis, and advancement of 5G and beyond for CPS
· Network infrastructure and ad-hoc networking for industrial control systems
· Application, comparison and advancement of CPS-specific performance evaluation methodologies,
such as network calculus, rare-event simulation, extreme value theory, reinforcement learning, etc.
· Standards for network infrastructure in CPS

23 March 2020
In conjunction with:
The 18th IEEE International Conference on Pervasive Computing and
Communications (PerCom 2020)
http://www.percom.org/
Internet of Things (IoT) has been attracting attention due to its
economic impact and high expectations for drastically changing our
societies. Trillion-scale IoT devices including sensors and actuators
are being installed in “things” such as machines, humans, vehicles,
buildings, and environments. At the same time, we are facing research
challenges on how to effectively, timely and integratedly handle these
over trillion information flows gushed from massive devices and/or
heterogeneous pervasive systems.
The 2020 International Workshop on Pervasive Information Flow (PerFlow
2020) aims to present and discuss research challenges,
design/implementations of new architectures, and experiences on
timely/real-time utilization of massive information flows (or data
streams) as well as interoperability, integration and coordination among
different pervasive systems possibly with different paradigms and from
different epochs.
We solicit technical papers describing original, previously unpublished
research, not currently under review by another conference or journal.
Submissions should clearly identify how they relate to issues on
information flow of things. Contributions describing an overall working
system and reporting real world deployment experiences are particularly
of interest. Topics of this workshop include, but are not limited to:
IoT Device Collaboration and Orchestration
Mobile Data Offloading
Data Analysis on IoT Devices
Data Collection via Crowdsensing etc.
Machine Learning for Data Stream
Edge and Fog Computing
Remote Sensing and Monitoring
Security and Privacy Issues in Pervasive Systems
Network Architecture/Protocols/Middleware for Pervasive Systems
Security and Privacy Issues in Pervasive Systems
Integration of Services/Protocols/Devices for Pervasive Systems
Interoperability and Interdependence of Heterogeneous Pervasive Systems
Quality of Service and Energy-Efficiency of Pervasive Systems
Paper Submission
Submitted papers must be original contributions that are unpublished and
are not currently under consideration for publication by other venues.
Submissions are limited to a maximum length of 6 pages and must adhere
to IEEE format (2 columns, 10 pt font, see below)
http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html
Papers can be submitted via the following EDAS submission portal for
PerFlow 2020.

Dear colleagues,
[Our apologies if you receive multiple copies of this CFP!]
The 18th ACM International Conference on Mobile Systems, Applications,
and Services (*MobiSys 2020*) [ https://www.sigmobile.org/mobisys/2020/
] will be held June 15-19, 2020 in Toronto, Canada.
Call for Papers
MobiSys 2020 seeks to present innovative and significant research on all
aspects of mobile systems, applications, and services. The conference
values technical contributions with working implementations and
practical evaluations. We also welcome work that explores new and
compelling mobile scenarios and applications as long as the work goes
well beyond providing an initial vision.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

Papers whose contributions overlap with work currently under review
elsewhere must not be submitted to MobiSys. Papers whose contributions
overlap with an earlier published paper will be considered only if (1)
the previous paper was published (not just accepted) at a workshop at
least 6 months before our submission date and (2) it adds significant
new contributions over the previous paper. Authors uncertain whether
their submission meets these guidelines should contact the program
chairs. Papers accompanied by nondisclosure agreement forms will not be
considered. Accepted submissions will be treated as confidential prior
to publication; rejected submissions will be permanently treated as
confidential.
MobiSys will use a double-blind review policy during the initial paper
review. Authors are instructed to not include their names, affiliations
and contact information on the manuscript they submit for review.
Authors should also anonymize the content of their paper to hide their
identity. Reviewers will not know the identity of the authors during the
initial phase of the review process, however, anonymity will expire
after the majority of the reviews have been submitted and preliminary
outcomes decided. The identities of the authors will be revealed to the
reviewers toward the end of the review process. Submissions which are
not properly anonymized will be rejected without being reviewed.
Submissions must be in PDF. We will not accept papers in any other
format. Submissions must use a 10pt font (or larger) and be correctly
formatted for printing on Letter-sized (8.5" by 11") paper. Paper text
blocks must follow ACM guidelines: double-column, with each column 9.25"
by 3.33", 0.33" space between columns and single-spaced. Submissions
MUST be *no more than twelve (12) pages + unlimited number of pages for
bibliography references*. The 12-page limit includes everything (e.g.,
abstract, text, appendix, etc.) except for the bibliography references.
Submissions can use this LaTex template
<http://conferences.sigcomm.org/sigcomm/2013/misc/sig-alternate-10pt.cls>
that is known to comply with the formatting requirements. Authors remain
responsible for checking that their resulting PDF meets our formatting
and anonymity specifications. Submissions not following these guidelines
will be rejected without review.
Submissions will be judged on originality, significance, interest,
clarity, relevance, and technical correctness. Papers may be
conditionally accepted and shepherded by a member of the program
committee, with final acceptance determined by consent of the shepherd.
As part of the submission process, authors of papers that describe
experiments on human subjects, or that analyze nonpublic data derived
from human subjects (even anonymized data), will be asked to certify
that their work was vetted by an ethics review (e.g., IRB approval). We
expect authors to follow the rules of their host institutions around
data collection and experiments with human subjects.
At least one author of an accepted paper is expected to register for the
conference (at non-student rate) and present the paper in person.
*Selected outstanding papers may be fast-tracked as a special section of
IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing.*
Best Paper Award
All papers will be considered for the Best Paper Award. The program
committee will select a number of candidates for the award among
accepted papers, and select one or more award papers prior to the
conference.
