SDS 2025
In the era of digital transformation, the world is rapidly converging
toward a future where *everything will be software-controlled*. From
networks and infrastructure to industry, cities, and devices, the shift
toward *softwarisation* is redefining how systems are built, operated, and
evolved. This paradigm enables unprecedented agility, automation, and
intelligence across every layer of modern computing environments. *The 12th
International Conference on Software Defined Systems (SDS 2025)* invites
researchers, engineers, and practitioners from academia, industry, and
government to explore the foundations, architectures, challenges, and
breakthroughs in software-defined everything. The conference serves as a
multidisciplinary platform to showcase innovations in *programmability,
abstraction, virtualization, and orchestration* that drive software-defined
solutions across domains. As control and intelligence increasingly migrate
from hardware to software, SDS 2025 aims to stimulate cross-disciplinary
dialogue and foster collaborations that bridge networking, systems,
security, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and beyond. SDS 2025 is
more than a conference, it's a forum to define the software-driven future
of connected intelligence. We welcome theoretical insights, practical
innovations, case studies, and visionary ideas that push the boundaries of
software-defined systems.
We welcome high-quality research and case studies in, but not limited to,
the following areas:
*1. Core Foundations of Software-Defined Systems*
* Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Storage (SDS), and Compute
* Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and service chaining
* Control plane/data plane decoupling and programmability (e.g., P4, eBPF)
* Intent-based, policy-driven, and declarative system control
* Platforms for orchestration, monitoring, and lifecycle management
*2. Software-Defined Cloud, Edge, and Fog Environments*
* Software-defined architectures for cloud-edge continuum
* Edge-native orchestration and microservices
* Serverless and Function-as-a-Service (FaaS) models in SDS
* Lightweight virtualization and container orchestration at scale

CALL FOR PAPERS
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The 9th International Conference on Mobile Internet Security
(MobiSec 2025)
Hotel Emisia Sapporo, Sapporo, Japan, December 16~18, 2025
https://www.manuscriptlink.com/society/kiisc/conference/mobisec2025

Secure and Cognitive Continuum (SECON)
**************************************************************************
IMPORTANT DATES
---------------
- Paper submission deadline: September 16, 2025 (KST/JST)
- Acceptance Notification: October 18, 2025 (KST/JST)
- Final version deadline: November 2, 2025 (KST/JST)
OVERVIEW
--------
The conventional way of dealing with (big) data, generated and exchanged by
IoT devices, is to continuously push them to centralised cloud computing
infrastructures, or utilize jointly on-device and on-premise/micro edge
resources, deep and far edge computing nodes, along with the traditional
federated cloud resources, thus forming an IoT-edge-cloud continuum. This
approach can increase manifold the applications’ performance and the
efficiency of the infrastructures overcoming the critical data collection,
transmission, and processing bottlenecks present in of the centralized
systems. It is clear that more local decisions and a collective logic that
leads to system-wide welfare optimality is needed in order to accommodate
the explosive growth of IoT.
Additionally, this extensive exchange of data requires that more research
need to be done in the way to secure the data on storage, transit and
processing. Hence it is important to understand how the security in the IoT
and the data sharing is being considered in the context of the
IoT-edge-cloud continuum.
This special session aims to facilitate the implementation of novel
automated tools and mechanisms for seamless interconnection, efficient data
processing of ML-workloads and secure distributed edge storage. Also the
special session will focuss on deployment technologies that contribute to
the entire application lifecycle and interoperability, for AI-driven value
extraction of high volume and dynamic IoT data generated at the edge of the
network from multiple sources, and the security and privacy of these new
ecosystems.
TOPICS
--------
Submissions should focus on contributing in the following areas:
- Orchestration of resources

Call for Paper:
------------------
The Internet of Things (IoT) technology is widely adopted by the vast
majority of businesses and is impacting every aspect of the world. However,
the nature of the Internet, communication, embedded OS and backend
resources make IoT objects vulnerable to cyber attacks. In addition, most
standard security solutions designed for enterprise systems are not
applicable to IoT devices. As a result, we are facing a big IoT security
and protection challenge, and it is urgent to analyze IoT-specific cyber
attacks to design novel and efficient security mechanisms.
This workshop will focus on IoT attacks and defenses, and seek original
submissions that discuss either practical or theoretical solutions to
identify IoT vulnerabilities and IoT security mechanisms. Topics of
interest include, but are not limited to the ones listed below.
- Malware and unwanted software for IoT
- Vulnerability analysis and reverse engineering for IoT
- IoT security and privacy
- IoT forensic techniques
- Usable security and privacy for IoT
- Intrusion detection and prevention for IoT
- Cyber intelligence techniques for IoT
- IoT infrastructures and mitigation techniques
- IoT Hardware security
- Cyber physical systems security
- Adversarial learning for IoT
- IoT Cyber crime
- Denial-of-Service attacks for IoT

> Call for Papers: The Second Workshop on Edge Intelligence
> (in conjunction with ACM SEC 2025, Washington, D.C., USA, [December 3--6, 2025])

> Edge intelligence is an emerging paradigm that brings AI model training and deployment closer to data sources—whether on devices, embedded systems, or edge computing nodes. By processing data locally, it reduces latency, energy consumption, and bandwidth demands while enhancing privacy and security through minimized data transmission. However, model composition and resource constraints are key challenges with respect to edge intelligence. Yet, edge intelligence is rapidly gaining attention for its transformative potential across IoT, autonomous systems, healthcare, smart cities, and precision agriculture. By enabling real-time analytics, autonomous decision-making, and efficient edge-cloud collaboration, it offers a compelling alternative to centralized cloud-dependent approaches.
>
> This workshop invites contributions that explore the latest advances, challenges, and applications in edge intelligence, pushing the boundaries of what is possible at the network edge.
>
> Topics of interests
> We solicit novel research contributions to the broad area of edge intelligence, such as (but not limited to):
> Cloud-edge collaborative training and inference
> Foundation models at the edge

> Federated learning via edge systems
> Edge-assisted artificial intelligence
> Efficient (deep) learning on edge devices
> Efficient (distributed) inference on end devices
> Lightweight container orchestration for domain-specific AI
