Accessibility of devices and technologies is a critical topic to allow inclusion of all users, especially due to the European laws that impose accessibility for new products and the definition of an updated version of WCAG (Web Accessibility Guidelines). This track invites scientists, engineers, and decision-makers from government, industry, and academia to present technical papers on their research and development results in areas of accessibility. This track can interest many researchers since it would give the chance to face a wide range of topics, i.e., web or mobile technologies, with different points of view, taking into account specific technological constraints and digital barriers. It is well-known that the so-called “curb cut effect” can be applied to any technological and digital context (in terms of devices, content, and services): technologies that were originally meant to benefit people with disabilities can help any other users. Moreover, the history and the evolution of several technologies have been influenced and/or motivated by the special needs of people with disabilities. We welcome submission on a wide range of topics, including but not limited to: * Accessible devices/assistive technologies: assistive technologies refer to all the assistive, adaptive, and rehabilitative devices for people with disabilities that enable users to perform tasks they were formerly unable to accomplish. On the one hand, the widespread diffusion of new devices and technologies stimulates researchers to find and apply new solutions to make them accessible to anyone. On the other hand, experiences in accessibility-related fields have been exploited and have provided benefits to users equipped with non-conventional devices when they emerged in the market. * Accessible solutions for e-learning, e-commerce, e-banking, etc: e-services and content often require specific technologies, being bounded by specific constraints when accessed by people with disabilities equipped with assistive technologies. Specific interaction modalities may affect interactive service access, while richness and quantity of content may affect the users’ ability to process information. * Accessible content: e-books, accessible TV, accessible broadcasting, etc. * Accessibility of games. * AI for Accessibility: AI can be exploited both for personalization (i.e., integrating AI-based personalization to support specific and special needs) and “enabler” (i.e., exploiting LLM to support the creation of accessible applications). Submission Guidelines We would like to invite authors to submit papers on research on the Accessibility area, with particular emphasis on assessing the current state of the art and identifying future directions. Original papers addressing any of the listed topics of interest (or related topics) will be considered. Each submitted paper will be fully refereed and undergo a double-blind review process by at least three referees. Accepted papers will be included in the ACM SAC 2025 proceedings and published in the ACM digital library, being indexed by Thomson ISI Web of Knowledge and Scopus. The track accepts full papers (max 8 pages), posters (max 2 pages), and SRC abstracts (max 2 pages). Submissions should be properly anonymized to facilitate blind reviewing. Papers that will receive high reviews (that is acceptable by reviewer standard) but will not be accepted due to space limitations can be invited for poster session. Authors of accepted papers must be prepared to sign a copyright statement and must pay the registration fee and guarantee that their paper will be presented at the conference. No-show of scheduled papers will result in excluding the papers from the ACM Digital Library. Papers must be original and unpublished and must not be submitted concurrently for publication elsewhere. All paper submissions should follow the IEEE 8.5'' x 11'' two-column format using 10pt fonts and the IEEE Conference template (downloadable by selecting “Conferences” in the IEEE-Template Selector https://template-selector.ieee.org/ <https://template-selector.ieee.org/>). Each submission can have up to eleven (11) pages (including figures, tables, appendices, and references). Papers exceeding this page limit or with smaller fonts will be desk-rejected without review. The paper review process is double-blind. Authors are required to take all reasonable steps to preserve the anonymity of their submission. The submission must not include author information and must not include citations or discussion of related work that would make the authorship apparent. While authors can upload their paper to institutional or other preprint repositories such as arXiv.org before reviewing is complete, we generally discourage this since it places anonymity at risk. If authors decide to upload their paper to a preprint site, they must make sure that the title and abstract of their submission to ICDCS are different from the title and abstract of the preprint version, so that it is not immediately obvious that the two versions are by the same authors and with the same content. To encourage reproducibility, we encourage the authors, whenever it is possible, to include in their paper a link to an anonymised GitHub repository with all source code, scripts and data needed for the reproduction of their results. For each accepted paper, at least one author is required to pay a full author registration and attend the conference in-person to present their work on-site. Any no-show papers will be reported to the publisher and removed from the conference proceedings. Experience papers shall follow the same submission process as the research papers with an “Experience:” prefix in the title. The COMSNETS main conference will now follow a double-blind review policy. Information about the authors will not be shared with the reviewers during the review process. The submitted paper should be anonymous and not have any reference to the authors names and/or institution. Authors are welcome to release their paper in a non-peer-reviewed location (such as a technical report by your institution or arXiv), but you should not broadcast information about the publication widely. For example, do not post it to large mailing lists or social media forums where PC members would easily encounter it, and do not do general press releases. Authors are also welcome to talk about their work (as work-in-progress) at local institutions. In either case, authors should be aware of PC members who might encounter the work and avoid sharing the work in a way that a PC member would encounter it. The overarching goal is to accelerate the convergence and synergy of communications, computing, and control towards next-generation industrial cyber-physical systems. It is a network-centric architecture, where cloud and fog technologies are leveraged collaboratively to achieve determinism in connectivity, networked computing, and intelligent networked control. Consequently, industrial applications can be realized independent of vendor-specific hardware and software, and further provided as a service with varying degrees of technical and infrastructural requirements, translating into significant business benefits. With the deployment of new wireless technologies to empower almost-deterministic ultra-reliable low-latency communications, a joint design of optimal control and resource management techniques is emerging for time-critical industrial cyber-physical systems, and it is also imperative that functional safety and security of such systems are not compromised. Another focus will be on system-wide/application-level performance, driven by “goal-oriented communication” in the underlying communication technologies. There are currently many open research challenges to enable Cloud-Fog Automation, therefore, a deliberate rethink and research in co-designing and synergizing communications, computing, and control is required. Specifically, research in deterministic industrial networking, computing virtualization, and networked control/estimation for time-sensitive cyber-physical systems will open many potential avenues for novel applications, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI)-empowered digital twins, industrial robots, virtual and augmented reality in advanced manufacturing, and so forth. This Special Issue aims to provide a forum for the latest advances in industrial communications, computing and control co-design, and endeavors to promote research, innovations, and applications to bridge the gap between theory and applications. All papers for IEEE SECON 2024 must be submitted via the conference submission system. To ensure resilient network operation, new design and management techniques must be constantly devised to respond to the rapid network and service evolution. As a recent and relevant example, deployments of 5G and 6G communication networks require network infrastructures to support new ultra-reliable services with availability of up to 9 nines. Similarly, disaster resiliency in communication networks is now attracting the attention of media, governments, and industry as never before (consider, e.g., the worldwide network traffic deluge to support remote working during the recent COVID19-pandemic!). Furthermore, governments are not only investing to increase the coverage and capacity of their networks, but also the reliability and sovereignty of their networks so that they are more secure and robust against attacks and unstable markets. Fortunately, several new technical directions can be leveraged to improve network resilience, including increased network adaptability enabled by network softwarization (e.g., Software Defined Networking (SDN)); integration/convergence of multiple technologies (optical, wireless, satellite, datacenter networks); enhanced forms of data/service replication that is supported by edge computing; network slicing used to carve highly-reliable logical partitions of network, computing and storage resources. These, and many other technological transformations can enable next-generation high-reliability networks. Given the strong interest in both industry and academia towards reliability of telecom networks and cloud-computing infrastructures, we organize this fifth IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management (TNSM) Special Issue on Resilient Communication Networks for an Hyper-Connected World (the first issue published in September 2021). This Special Issue aims at the timely publication of recent and innovative research results on this important topic. This journal specializes in peer-reviewed, concise articles detailing datasets across various domains, promoting open and reproducible scientific research. The rapid peer-reviewed process targets a publication time frame of less than 10 weeks for most accepted papers. The journal’s primary aim is to enhance dataset visibility and utility through comprehensive descriptions, which include data collection methods, data quality assessments, and detailed metadata. To ensure the datasets are broadly usable, they must be findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable, with a strong preference for storage on IEEE DataPort or other permanent repositories. There are three types of articles that can be submitted for review: descriptors, collections, and metadata. - Descriptor articles (the main type of article published) describe the published (or soon-to-be-published) dataset. In essence, this is a detailed manual on the dataset — what it is and how to use it. - Collections articles follow the lead and expectations of Descriptor articles and will focus on groups of datasets collected during or created from a competition, hackathon, or event. - Meta articles depart from but follow the lead and expectations of Descriptor articles. Meta articles are articles that allow for discussion about data. Authors can express their findings about data in several areas, including, but not limited to: standardized formats for data in a given area (e.g., collecting power data from sub-stations), surveys of several datasets of a given type (e.g., GIS, time-series, etc.), data that are a library of models for a given AI or machine learning algorithm or system, data or dataset that is metadata of existing published datasets, comparing many similar datasets in an area to create meta-statistics data; or, any other data topics that may not have traditional scientific experimental results. The poster session will serve as a forum for researchers to present ongoing work and receive early feedback from peers, while the demo session will showcase real prototypes and systems. All papers for IEEE SECON 2024 must be submitted via the conference submission system. Each submission must be no longer than 9 pages (including all the figures, references, and appendices) and in font size of 10 points. Submissions that violate the formatting guidelines will be rejected without review. All submitted papers will be judged based on their quality and relevance through double-blind reviewing, where the identities of the authors are withheld from the reviewers. As an author, you are required to preserve the anonymity of your submission, while at the same time allowing the reader to fully grasp the context of related past work, including your own. Common sense and careful writing will go a long way towards preserving anonymity. Papers that do not conform to our double-blind submission policies will be rejected without review. Use the standard IEEE Transactions templates for Microsoft Word or LaTeX formats at https://www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html. If the paper is typeset in LaTeX, please use an unmodified version of the LaTeX template IEEEtran.cls version 1.8, and use the preamble: \documentclass[10pt, conference, letterpaper]{IEEEtran} Do not use additional LaTeX commands or packages to override and change the default typesetting choices in the template, including line spacing, font sizes, margins, space between the columns, and font types. This implies that the manuscript must use 10-point Times font, two-column formatting, as well as all default margins and line spacing requirements as dictated by the original version of IEEEtran.cls version 1.8.
