IMPORTANT NOTICE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the new deadline for
paper submissions is June 29, 2020
The fourth edition of Cloud and Internet of Things 2020 (CIoT’20) will
be held from October 7 to October 9, 2020, in Niterói, Brazil. CIoT
provides a high-quality international academic and industrial exchange
forum for experts and scholars in the field of intelligent systems,
cloud computing and Internet of Things. CIoT’20 is a conference focusing
on the challenges of deploying cloud-based and Internet of Things
applications while considering the whole end-to-end architecture over
the sixth generation of mobile networks (6G) and next-generation data
center networking. The next generation of telecommunication networks is
expected to support a growing number of smart terminals, such as cell
phones and sensors, to provide real-time applications and to provide
intelligence and trust embedded in network infrastructure. To meet these
requirements, the 6G envisions the use of artificial intelligence,
cloud, and IoT applications. The 6G network will absorb the billions of
flows generated by things while considering the requested QoS and the
cohabitation of M2M, M2H and H2M flows. Then, the flows will be
processed in data centers and applications will exploit the extracted
knowledge.
Authors are invited to submit original contributions that have not been
published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Papers should be
prepared using the IEEE 2-column conference style and are limited to 8
pages (full papers). They have to be submitted electronically in PDF
format. Papers exceeding page limits, multiple submissions, and
self-plagiarized papers will be rejected without further review. All
other papers will sustain a thorough single-blind review process.
CIoT’20 will also hold an industrial track. The industrial track gathers
scholar and industrial participants in a venue for highlighting
practical and real-world studies and applications of cloud and IoT
technologies. This track aims to foster cooperation between participants
engaged in scientific research and practitioners working to improve the
development of new cloud and IoT applications. Each submission should
describe the problem addressed, the approach used, the current state of
the project, an evaluation of the benefits or lessons learned, and
future developments. Submissions may be short papers (4 pages).
The organizing committee (OC) is closely monitoring the development of
the COVID-19 situation that could impact paper submissions and in-person
attendance. In the case of travel restrictions, a partially or fully
virtual conference could become necessary and video/remote presentations
will be accepted. In addition, the OC is also considering remote
participation under all circumstances especially for accepted papers.

CALL FOR PAPERS
The Internet of Things (IoT) technology offers unprecedented
opportunities to interconnect human beings as well as Machine-to-Machine
(M2M), whereby sensors and networks allow all ‘things’ to communicate
directly with each other to share vital information allowing us to have
an instrumented universe where accurate data is readily available to
inform optimal decision making. The IoT is about to enable a range of
new capabilities and services far beyond today’s offerings. It will
fundamentally change how people go about their lives. According to
Gartner, the number of objects connected to the Internet is set to reach
20 billion by 2020. Cisco estimates the number will be close to 26
billion objects by 2020. Others believe the actual number will be even
higher with the assumption that any object with a simple micro
controller and on-off switch will be connected to the Internet in the
near feature. The scale of the IoT is set to have a major economic,
social and environmental impacts; the intersection of which forms the
future sustainable growth.
The international conference on Internet of Things: Systems, Management
and Security (IoTSMS) aims at soliciting original ideas on the broad
area of IoT including challenges and opportunities, concepts and

4-5 October 2020, Victoria,
Canada, https://events.vtsociety.org/ieee-cavs-2020/
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Due to the wide extent of the impact from the COVID-19, the Vehicular
Technology Society will be relaxing its standard requirements for onsite
presentation of papers for authors whose travel is adversely affected by
the outbreak. In support of all authors, the following will now suffice
for assuring paper publication in order of preference:
1) onsite presentation by first author or coauthor, or…
2) onsite presentation by a qualified substitute, or…
3) submission of a prerecorded presentation by first author, or a
co-author, or both for authors whose travel is adversely affected by
the outbreak.
With the advances in computing and communication technologies, vehicle
technology has entered a new era of connected and automated vehicles
(CAVs). The host of technologies that are required to enable CAVs are
many and span several engineering and science disciplines. This
symposium aims to bring together researchers who are working on
different aspects of CAVs. IEEE CAVS is a symposium for reporting
advances in all aspects of CAVs, including theory, tools, protocols,
networks, applications, systems, test-beds and field deployments. IEEE
CAVS 2020 will be held on 4-5 October 2020 in Victoria, Canada,
co-located with IEEE VTC-2020 Fall (October 4-7,
2020,https://events.vtsociety.org/vtc2020-fall/). Standalone and
combinedregistrations packages will be offered for IEEE CAVS and IEEE
VTC2020-Fall events. Areas of interest include (but are not limited
to) the following:
- Autonomous driving
- Motion Planning, Decision-Making, and Controls for CAVs

EAI is actively monitoring the COVID-19 situation to ensure the safety,
comfort and quality of experience for attendees and a successful course of
the event. EAI is committed to holding the conference in 2020 and Accepted
Authors who are unable to attend the event in person will be given
an option to present their submission online. In case the situation
prevents the event from taking place in its original location, it will be
held fully in an interactive, live online setting.
*Scope: *
The annual International Conference on Ad Hoc Networks (AdHocNets) focuses
on ad hoc networking technologies and their applications. An ad hoc network
is a wireless system, in which mobile or static nodes are connected using
wireless links and cooperate to self-organize into a network without the
requirement for any infrastructure such as access points or base stations.
In recent years, ad hoc networks have been attracting increased attention
from the research and engineering communities.
The distributed and multi-hop nature of ad hoc networking as well as the
highly dynamic topology of an ad hoc network due to node mobility has
introduced many formidable challenges such as scalability, quality of
service, reliability and security, and energy-constrained operations for
the network. Ad hoc networking covers a variety of network paradigms
including mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs), wireless sensor networks (WSNs),
vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), airborne networks, underwater networks,
underground networks, personal area networks, and home networks, etc. It
promises a wide range of applications in civilian, commercial, and military
areas.
The aim of the annual AdHocNets conference is to provide a forum that
brings together researchers and engineers from academia, government
laboratories as well as industry to meet, network, exchange ideas and
present their recent research work, and discuss future directions on all
aspects of ad hoc networks. Following the success of ADHOCNETS’09-19, the
