Authors are invited to submit papers describing original, previously
unpublished work, not currently under review by another conference,
workshop, or journal. There are a number of tracks that are designed to
improve interactions of experts over different stages in research development.
* Full Regular papers (maximum 8 pages plus references, 10 pt font in
IEEE format) should present novel perspectives within the general scope of
the conference.
* Short papers (maximum 6 pages plus references, 10 pt font in IEEE
format)are an opportunity to present preliminary or interim results on hot
topics in a poster session.
* Doctoral track papers (maximum 6 pages plus references, 10 pt font in
IEEE format) provide a supportive setting for Ph.D. students (who must be
the first author) to discuss their problem statement, methods, results,
obtain feedback from established researchers and establish contacts for
entering the job market. The doctoral track involves a mentoring program.
We are also holding dedicated special tracks (e.g., invited workshops,
papers)focusing on nascent and promising areas in networking research,
which shall involve experts in those areas seeking to foster collaborative
development.
Full, short, special track, and doctoral papers are published in the IEEE
LCN proceedings and IEEE Xplore. All published papers must include title,
complete contact information for all authors, abstract, and keywords on the
cover page. IEEE reserves the right to remove papers from IEEE Xplore
thatare not presented at the conference.
*** Paper submission ***
Papers must be registered on EDAS and submitted in PDF format. Detailed
submission instructions are available at the conference website. Direct
your questions to Program Chairs: Florian Tschorsch and Kanchana
Thilakarathna(program(a)ieeelcn.org).
A limited number of student grants and N2 Women Young Researcher Fellowship
awards are considered by the conference each year.
*** Remote Presentation Option ***
LCN considers in-person meetings indispensable for collaborations, personal
exchanges, discussions, and networking opportunities. Recognizing the
evolving landscape of academic conferences and the need for flexibility,
LCN 2024 introduces a Remote Presentation Option. Upon
acceptance/registration, authors have the option to select physical or
remote presentation modes. When opting for remote presentation, a fee of
500 USD is required in addition to the author registration. This fee covers
supplementary costs associated with providing a remote option. The
additional fee for remote presentations may be waived when all authors are
from countries marked with an asterisk on the following list of IEEE
eMembership.
Countries: https://www.ieee.org/membership/join/emember-countries.html
Remote presentation is restricted to full, short, and doctoral papers.
Further implementation details will be communicated as part of the author
and presenter instructions.
The overarching goal of LCN 2024 is to enhance the accessibility and
inclusivity of LCN, catering to a diverse global audience while preserving
the value of physical participation.
Best Regards,
IEEE LCN Publicity Chairs,
Abdullah, Theofanis, Youlong

========================================================================
Manuscript submissions
========================================================================
The submitted papers must be written in English and be formatted in the
standard IEEE two-column format and with a font size no less than
10-point. The mandatory IEEE template in Microsoft Word and LaTeX format
can be found at the IEEE templates page. The submission process is not
double-blind and authors may include their names, affiliations, and
other identifying information in the submitted manuscripts. Only Adobe
PDF files will be accepted for the review process. All submissions must
be made electronically through EDAS.
https://edas.info/index.php?c=32009 <https://edas.info/index.php?c=32009>
========================================================================
Submission Types
========================================================================
The conference will consider four categories of submissions:
- Full papers should describe novel research contributions and are
limited in length to eight (8) printed pages including figures,
tables, and references. Papers exceeding 8 pages will be declined
automatically and will not be reviewed.
- Short papers should be more visionary in nature and may report on
work-in-progress without fully finished results. They are meant to
present novel perspectives, so as to foster discussions about
innovative directions and new points of view. They are limited to at
most four (4) pages including figures, tables, and references, but
might in many cases be even shorter. Accepted short papers will be
included in the proceedings and will be given (a shorter) time for
oral presentation at the conference.
- Posters are especially suited for presenting controversial research
directions that may generate discussion, or promising ideas not yet
fully validated through complete extensive evaluation. They are
limited to at most two (2) pages and their title must begin with
"Poster:".
- Demonstration (demo) papers are suited for researchers to showcase
their latest prototypes with media, models, or live demonstrations.
They are limited to at most two (2) pages and their title must begin
with "Demo:".
Please note that these categories (in particular: full paper and short
paper) target different kinds of contributions. Papers submitted to one
category will NOT be moved to a different category: a paper will either
be accepted in the category where it has been submitted, or it will be
rejected (in particular: full papers will not be "downgraded" to short
papers). Therefore, please be sure to carefully assess for yourself
prior to submission which is the most suitable submission category for
your paper, and to make sure that the presentation in the manuscript is
well suited to the aims of this category.
========================================================================
Submission Process
========================================================================
Submitted papers must be IEEE compliant Adobe PDF files written in
English, formatted in standard IEEE two-column format with a font size
no less than 10-point. Reviewing is not double-blind, so authors may
include their names, affiliations, and other identifying information in
submitted manuscripts. Only compliant files will be accepted for review.
All submissions must be made electronically through EDAS.

physical elements, all of which are capable of interacting, reflecting and
influencing
each other. Another emerging cross-disciplinary research area, the Cyber-Social
System (CSS) is rapidly evolving along with the popularity of online social
networking.
With the advent of ubiquitous sensing and networking, future social
networks turn
into cyber-physical interactions, which are attached with associated social
attributes.
The 2024 IEEE International Conference on Cyber Physical and Social Computing
(CPSCom-2024), held in Copenhagen, Denmark, August 19-22, 2024, will provide a
high-profile leading-edge forum for researchers, engineers, and
practitioners to
present state-of-art advances and innovations. We seek submissions of papers
addressing new techniques, introducing innovative methodologies, and
proposing new
CPS, CSS, and CPSS research directions.

Dear Researchers/Authors,
You are invited to submit your high-quality research findings to the 6th International Workshop on Wireless Sensors and Drones in the Internet of Things (Wi-DroIT 2024)
Date: April 29 - May 1, 2024
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Wi-DroIT co-located with DCOSS 2024

**SCOPE**
Recently, the rapid development of Unmanned Autonomous Vehicles (UAVs), also known as drones, has highlighted a plethora of emergent applications such as infrastructure inspection and surveillance, smart agriculture, seek and rescue, parcel delivery, communications, and post-disaster recovery. In all these applications UAVs may coexist with ground Internet of Things (IoT) devices. For example, UAVs autonomously perform remote sensing relaying the collected data by the sensors. Additionally, one or more UAVs can collaborate to provide services that require efficient protocols where multiple objectives and constraints need to be considered.
For this workshop, we seek papers that combine the design of algorithms and testbed implementations to develop the theoretical foundations for UAVs as well as the synergies with IoT devices. The numerous emergent applications raised by IoT may require an interdisciplinary approach involving techniques from algorithm foundations and different areas, such as computer networks, artificial intelligence, concurrent, parallel, and distributed computing, security, digital signal, image, and sound processing.
**TOPICS OF INTEREST**
- Autonomous sensing via UAVs
- Topology monitoring with UAVs
- Remote sensing networks via UAVs
- Communication protocols of UAVs over IoT
- Modeling and analysis of UAVs over IoT
- Precision agriculture and UAVs
