SCOPE AND TOPICS OF THE WORKSHOP
=============================================
The 4th IEEE/IFIP International Workshop on Internet of Things
Management (Manage-IoT) is co-located with the 37th IEEE/IFIP Network
Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS 2024) will be held during
the week of 6–10 May 2024 in Seoul, South Korea
CFP
==============================================
Managing IoT-based systems is complex and exciting. Though being an
evolution from classical management, managing IoT things is still
disruptive as classical assumptions about connectivity, compute
resources, or usage patterns do not necessarily hold anymore.
The Manage-IoT workshop focuses on management methodologies for IoT,
including the following topics:
Node management
Managing IoT devices, gateways, or edge nodes
Data Management
Semantic Modeling of IoT Systems
Information models/ Domain Specific Languages
Data Lakes
Service Management
Autonomous Management
IoT runtime environments
Service Discovery
Life-Cycle
Full Platforms
Architectures
Systems integration
Modular Management
Methodologies
Machine Learning
Self-Adapting Systems
Data Analytics
Reasoning and Orchestration
Orchestration Frameworks
Kubernetes / Containers
Micro-services
Cross-topics
Security including Privacy, Safety, and Resilience
Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA)
Trustworthiness
Languages, models, and run-time
Papers covering relevant domains, including but are not limited to,
Critical Infrastructures, Industry 4.0, Transportation, Healthcare,
Finance, Agriculture are of interest. We are happy to accept papers on
practical setups, experimentation, and industrial case studies.

**CALL FOR PAPERS**
Dear Researchers/Authors,

**SCOPE**
Recently, the rapid development of Unmanned Autonomous Vehicles (UAVs), also known as drones, has highlighted a plethora of emergent applications such as infrastructure inspection and surveillance, smart agriculture, seek and rescue, parcel delivery, communications, and post-disaster recovery. In all these applications UAVs may coexist with ground Internet of Things (IoT) devices. For example, UAVs autonomously perform remote sensing relaying the collected data by the sensors. Additionally, one or more UAVs can collaborate to provide services that require efficient protocols where multiple objectives and constraints need to be considered.
For this workshop, we seek papers that combine the design of algorithms and testbed implementations to develop the theoretical foundations for UAVs as well as the synergies with IoT devices. The numerous emergent applications raised by IoT may require an interdisciplinary approach involving techniques from algorithm foundations and different areas, such as computer networks, artificial intelligence, concurrent, parallel, and distributed computing, security, digital signal, image, and sound processing.
**TOPICS OF INTEREST**
- Autonomous sensing via UAVs
- Topology monitoring with UAVs
- Remote sensing networks via UAVs
- Communication protocols of UAVs over IoT
- Modeling and analysis of UAVs over IoT
- Precision agriculture and UAVs
- Crops monitoring in agriculture
- Bugs monitoring in agriculture
- UAVs for environmental monitoring
- Autopilot and UAS autonomy
- UAVs path planning and scheduling
- Parcel delivery using UAVs
- Cellular networks and UAVs
- Constrained and multi-objectives problems
- Sensors localization with UAVs
- UAVs tracking techniques
- Cooperative control of multiple UAVs
- Cyber-security communications and UAVs
- Optimal UAV deployment strategies
- Test-beds and experimental results for UAVs

The ACM MobiCom conference seeks papers describing significant research
contributions in the field of wireless networking and mobile
computing. MobiCom solicits papers that address important research
challenges and build practical working systems. Successful papers should
propose novel ideas to attack such problems through rigorous analysis,
system design, and real-world measurement or deployment of mobile networks,
systems, and applications.

*Paper submission Deadline is extended to Feb 4th 2024.*
Third International Workshop on Green and Sustainable Networking
(GreenNet 2024)

<https://sites.google.com/view/greennet2024/>
Co-located with IEEE ICC 2024, Denver, CO, 9-13 June 2024
*Call for Papers*
Energy efficiency and sustainability have become of paramount importance
in all human activities, including the information and communication
technology sector. The trade-off between availability, resiliency,
programmability, and energy efficiency of networks and services is a key
challenge for the next decade and monitoring methods and metrics for
power consumption, energy efficiency, as well as sustainability are
important, as well as benchmarking of solutions based on well-defined
KPIs. For that reason, the goal of the GreenNet Workshop is to address
emerging concepts and challenges related to energy efficiency and
sustainability for networked services. An improved sustainability in all
parts of the network, in a time of increasing AI/ML usage, evolution of
different novel network access technologies, the spreading of edge
computing and micro-data centers, and the demand in computational and
data transport capacity across the edge-cloud continuum, is essential.
We solicit original papers on the following (and related) topics:
Topics of Interest
- Traffic modeling and prediction for performance and power representation
Analytical models of network, base station, and cloud power consumption
Accuracy and granularity of traffic prediction models
- Network and device management and control mechanisms
Optimization of trade-offs between energy consumption, efficiency,
availability, resilience, sustainability, and performance
APIs for power management interfaces
Timing, scheduling, and orchestration of sleep modes in various
network parts
