IEEE/ACM IPSN 2009 The 8th International Conference on Information Processing in Sensor Networks Jointly sponsored by IEEE and ACM San Fransisco, USA April 13 – 16, 2009 http://ipsn.acm.org/2009/ Important Dates --------------------- Proposal submission deadline: November 13th, 2008 Notification of acceptance: December 1st, 2008 +-------------------------------------------------------------+ The International Conference on Information Processing in Sensor Networks (IPSN) is a leading single track forum on sensor network research will be held on April 13-16, 2009 in San Francisco, USA. IPSN brings together researchers from academia, industry, and government to present and discuss recent advances in both theoretical and experimental research. Its scope includes signal and image processing, information and coding theory, databases and information management, distributed algorithms, networks and protocols, wireless communications, machine learning, and embedded systems design. We solicit workshop proposals on new and emerging topics in the general area of mobile and wireless systems, services and applications.
Workshops can be full day or half-day and will take place on November 16th. The ideal workshop proposal should focus on a specific area, be of current interest, and be able to attract a number of high-quality submissions. The proposal should be no longer than three pages and should clearly identify the name of the workshop, theme of the workshop, topic areas of interest to define the scope, names and affiliation of main organizers/program chairs and potential program committee members, a tentative call for papers with workshop deadlines and expected number of submissions and participants. The proposal should also specify if this will be a full-day or half-day workshop, and any logistical needs (demos/audio/video projection etc). If this workshop has been held before, also include its history (number of submissions, number of accepted papers, number of attendees).

International Conference on Information Processing in Sensor Networks
April 13-16, 2009, San Francisco, USA
[Overview] IPSN is a premier conference on sensor networks with a focus on on information processing and embedded platform design. Its tutorial session is designed to attract researchers and practitioners from both academia and industry to exchange the latest research results. We invite you to submit high-quality tutorial proposals to IPSN. Tutorials should focus on recent cutting-edge R&D topics on information processing in sensor networks and should be self-contained in nature.
[Important deadlines] * Tutorial proposal: Jan 23rd, 2009 * Acceptance notice: Feb 6th, 2009 * Handout due: April 1st, 2009 * Presentation: April 13th, 2009
[Submission Details] A proposal shall include:
1. Tutorial title 2. One or two-page description of tutorial that clearly states (i) the scope of tutorial and learning objectives, (ii) target audience and expected attendance, (iii) logistic requirements beyond class room style setting for presentation, and (iv) a list of previous offerings of the tutorial (if any). 3. Presentation slides (this is optional but high recommended)
