Workshop WS-8: Future Internet Engineering (FIE 2011)
is one of workshops proposed jointly with SAINT 2011 -
The 11th IEEE/IPSJ International Symposium on Applications and the
Internet, Munich, GERMANY (July 18-22, 2011)

Workshop topics of interests:
- development and testing of new networking architectures based on the resources virtualization along with new mechanisms and algorithms concerning the crucial aspects of network operations,
- new mechanisms and algorithms enabling infrastructure virtualization and
construction of virtual networks which use this infrastructure ("parallel
internets"),
- Future Internet applications in the area of home and vehicle networks, e-health networks, 3D Internet, UHD digital cinema, educational and social networks
- original solutions for the new generation transmission media (wire and wireless),
- new solutions that guarantee the safety of information transmission from practical perspective
- new technologies for Content Aware Networks simplifying content access and distribution
- new Quality of Service mechanisms for future networks
- circuit switching emulation for effective CBR providing,
- building a national test network environment for Future Internet, enabling research and development activities based on the experimental
verification
- modeling and performance evaluation of new network mechanisms,
measurements and detailed models of network flows (self-similarity,
long-distance correlation, transient behaviour)
- approaches of evolutionary replacement of current version of IP (IPv4)
in national networks by the IPv6 protocol, new network solutions and services resulting from IPv6.
