----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Apologies for multiple copies of this announcement---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Ninth IEEE PerCom International Workshop onSensor Networks and Systems for Pervasive Computing (PerSeNS 2013)in conjunction with IEEE PerCom 2013 (http://www.percom.org)March 18-22, 2013San Diego, California----------------------------------------------------------------------CALL FOR PAPERSWireless sensor networks collect sensing measurements or detectspecial events, perform node-level processing, and export the combineddata from their sensing nodes to the outside world.Sensing, processing and communication are three key elements whosecombination in one small device is instrumental to pervasive computingand gives rise to countless applications. This workshop will provide a forum to exchange ideas, discusssolutions, and share experiences among researchers and professionalsfrom industry and academia.Papers describing original research on both theoretical and practicalaspects of sensor networks for pervasive computing are solicited. We particularly welcome submissions that present implementation anddeployment results. Particular topics of interest include, but are notlimited to:- Sensor-based systems and applications- Operating systems for Sensor Networks- Middleware and software tools- Networking architectures and protocols- Data gathering, aggregation and dissemination- Topology control- Power Management and energy-efficient design- Time synchronization- Location management- Sensor networks with mobile elements- Cross-layer architectures- Intelligent sensor nodes- Security and dependability issues- Modeling and performance evaluation- MeasurementsEDITORIAL FOLLOW UPPapers of particular merit will be considered for a possible special issue in an international journal.PAPER SUBMISSIONPapers should contain original material and not be previously published,or currently submitted for consideration elsewhere.Papers must be submitted in PDF format.Maximum length: 6 pages.Papers must be prepared using the template available at the following page:All submissions will be handled via EDAS.Accepted papers will be published by the IEEE Computer Society Press inthe combined PerCom 2013 workshops proceedings. At least one authorof each accepted paper must register and attend the workshop to presentthe paper. There is no workshop-only registration.Failure to present the paper at the workshop will result in the withdrawalof the paper from the Proceedings as well as from IEEE Xplore.IMPORTANT DATES
