Call for Papers
17th IEEE International Conference on Mobile Data Management
MDM 2016 www.mdmconferences.org/mdm2016 http://www.mdmconferences.org/mdm2016
The MDM series of conferences, since its debut in December 1999, has established itself as a prestigious forum for the exchange of innovative and significant research results in mobile data management. The term mobile in MDM has been used from the very beginning in a broad sense to encompass all aspects of mobility – aspects related to wireless, portable and tiny devices. The conference provides unique opportunities for researchers, engineers, practitioners, developers, and users to explore new ideas, techniques, and tools, and to exchange experiences.
We invite submissions of original research contributions and industrial papers as well as proposals for demos, panels and workshops.
A number of events (workshop, demos, panels, seminars, PhD forum, and special industrial forum) will be organized to cater for all academic activities, apart from research track activities. - Workshops are for fast track publications of work-in-progress papers - Demos will present state of the art systems and prototypes - Panels will review current research activities and explore new frontiers - PhD forum is to encourage doctoral student participation - Industrial forum for companies to present their research and development technologies/systems.
CONFERENCE TOPICS
We solicit research papers in areas related mobility, context and data. The topic of interest include, but are not limited to, the following: oMobile Cloud Computing and Data Management in the Mobile Cloud oData Management for the Internet of Things (IoT) and Sensor Networks oSemantic Data Management for Mobile Devices/Applications oData Management for Augmented Reality Systems oData Management for Emerging Smart Urban Systems – Connected Cars, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Smart Spaces oMobile Crowd-Sourcing and Crowd-Sensing oData management for Next-Gen Mobile and Ad-Hoc Networks oData management for Peer-to-Peer Systems oMobile Data Analytics oMobile Data and User/Behavioural Understanding oMobile Location-Based Social Networks oMobile Activity Recognition oMobile Situation Inference oRecommendations for Mobile Users oAnalytics “at-the-edge” and on-board Mobile/Ubiquitous Devices oContext-aware Computing for Intelligent Mobile Services oAdaptability of pervasive computing systems oStability of pervasive computing systems oAdvanced middleware for mobile and pervasive computing oPublish/subscribe middleware for mobile data oTheoretical foundations of data-intensive mobile computing oData replication, migration and dissemination in mobile environments oData stream processing in mobile/sensor network oTransactions and workflows in mobile environments oIndexing, Optimisation and Query Processing for moving objects/users oMobile Trajectory Analytics – Discovery, Next-Place, and Linking oLocation-Based Services oResource advertising and discovery techniques oSecurity and privacy issues for mobile and ubiquitous systems
