CALL FOR PAPERS
AdHoc-Now 2018 The 17th International Conference on Ad Hoc Networks and Wireless
September 5-7, 2018 Saint-Malo, France
http://conferences.imt-atlantique.fr/adhocnow2018
=======================================================================
Since its creation in 2002, the International Conference on Ad Hoc Networks and Wireless (AdHoc-Now) has become a well-established and well known event dedicated to wireless and mobile mesh computing. It serves as a forum for interesting discussions on ongoing research and new contributions. The conference addresses both experimental and theoretical research in the areas of ad hoc networks, sensor networks, mesh networks and vehicular networks. It focuses on all issues from link layer up to the application layer. The seventeenth edition of AdHoc-Now will be in September 2018 in Saint Malo, France. We seek original contributions as work in progress, experimental and theoretical research in Wireless Sensor, Ad-Hoc, Mobile and Wireless Networks.
The proceedings of the conference will be published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS).
Submissions must not be published or under review for another conference or journal. All manuscripts must be in English. Full-length Research Papers should be 12 pages (single column) and Poster and demonstration abstracts should be 6 pages (single column), both based on templates provided by Springer.
There will be three special tracks organized on the following topics: - Industrial Internet of Things: The Industry 4.0 is an emerging concept which aims at transforming the plants and the fabrication process. The Internet of Things (IoT) technologies will play a major role in this evolution. The main purpose is to make the production chain more flexible and adaptive to the production needs. However, new algorithms and communication protocols are required to provide differentiated service over a global network, potentially wireless.
- Cybersecurity for the Internet of Things: Securing the Internet of Things (IoT) is required given all the application domains that are envisioned (smart cities, Industry 4.0, smart grid, vehicular networks, etc.). We are seeking for contribution on securing the access, protecting the data, data integrity and privacy, authentication, bootstrapping and intrusion detection in wireless mesh network and long range IoT.
- Poster and demonstration: A special track will be organized in the form of poster and demonstration. The poster can present preliminary research results either on one of the special tracks (Industrial IoT and cybersecurity for the Internet of Things) as well as on any topics below. Demonstrations also welcome to show an implementation or experimental platform of recent advances in IoT.
In addition, we are seeking research papers in any of the following areas: • Internet of Things (IoT) • Access Control • Deterministic communication • Long range IoT (LoRa, Sigfox, NB-IoT) • Industry 4.0 and smart factory • IoT Management Patterns • Smart cities • Hybrid networks with heterogeneous network interfaces • IEEE 802.15.4 TSCH and IPv6 integration • Ad Hoc Networks of Autonomous Intelligent Systems • Algorithmic Issues • Analytic Methods and Performance Evaluation • Ad Hoc Network Applications and Architectures • Delay-Tolerant Networking • Distributed Algorithms for Ad Hoc Networks • Energy Efficiency • Geometric Graphs • Location Discovery and Management • Mobility Handling and Utilization • Wireless Mesh Networks • Big Data Inspired Data Sensing • Mobile Ad Hoc Computing Platforms • Edge/fog computing • Systems and Testbeds • Mobile Social Networking • Quality-of-Service for mesh networks • Routing Protocols (Unicast, Multicast, etc.) • Secure Services and Protocols • Sensor Networks • Self-Configuration • Service Discovery • Timing Synchronization • Vehicular Networks • Wireless Internet • Processing and Networking Technologies Complexity and Computational Issues • Prototype systems and real-world deployment experiences
