Call for Participation
After the success of the first edition in Innsbruck, Austria, the second edition of MOBILWARE is expected to be even more interesting, valuable, and fruitful for its participants, with the addition of workshops and tutorials.
In fact, the first day will be devoted to 4 workshops and 2 tutorials selected after a rigorous review process.
The main conference will be organized over two full days, bringing together researchers from across the world to present and discuss the latest academic/industrial results in middleware and software support for mobile services over next generation wireless networks and portable devices.
Scope
The advances in wireless communication technologies and the proliferation of mobile devices have enabled the realization of intelligent environments for people to communicate with each other, interact with information processing devices, and receive a wide range of mobile wireless services through various types of networks and systems everywhere, anytime. A key enabler of these pervasive and ubiquitous connectivity environments is the advancement of software technology in various communication sectors, ranging from communication middleware and operating systems to networking protocols and applications.
MOBILWARE is dedicated to addressing emerging topics and challenges in various mobile wireless software-related areas. The scope of the conference is the design, implementation, deployment and evaluation of middleware, operating systems, and applications for computing and communications in mobile wireless systems. It aims to provide a high profile, leading edge forum for researchers, engineers, and standards developers to present their latest research, techniques, and experiences in the field of software technology for mobile wireless systems.
Topics
The main conference program consists of 29 high quality papers from 13 nations.
These will be presented in 8 technical sessions, with time available space for questions from the audience, addressing:
- Location and Tracking Supports and Services
- Context-aware Mobile Supports and Services
- Middleware for QoS Awareness, Adaptation, and Fault-tolerance of Mobile Services
- Mobility-aware Service Discovery, Management, and Delivery
- Middleware for Mobile Computing & Agent Technologies for Mobile Services
- OS/Middleware for Embedded Systems, Wearable and Personal Area Networks
- Mobility/Handoff Management in Heterogeneous Networks
