======================================================================== *ACM Workshop on Millimeter Wave Wireless Networks and Sensing Systems* New Delhi, India, October 29, 2018, in conjunction with MobiCom’18 ========================================================================
*Submission deadline: July 6th, 2018 (11:59 PM EST)*
The 2nd ACM Workshop on Millimeter Wave Wireless Networks and Sensing Systems is focused on the design and implementation of new millimeter wave (mmWave) protocols and systems that can enable multi-Gbps wireless connectivity for 5G cellular systems and wireless LANs as well as new wireless sensing and imaging system. The goal of the workshop is to identify and solve key challenges facing mmWave systems. The workshop will bring together researchers from mmWave hardware, communication and signal processing, wireless networking, and mobile applications to set the future research agenda of mmWave networks and present innovative ideas that potentially can grow to full fledged mmWave systems that realize this vision of extremely high data rate wireless links.
We solicit papers with new original unpublished ideas in mmWave networks and sensing systems. Submissions will be judged by their technical merit thorough a peer review process by the TPC. All papers will be considered for the Best Paper Award. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Novel millimeter wave PHY concepts - Mechanisms to support mobility and tracking, and link establishment - Millimeter wave beamforming and MU-MIMO - Millimeter wave medium access control - Millimeter wave spatial reuse - 5G millimeter wave small cells - Wireless millimeter wave backhaul - Low latency networking for 5G systems - Transport protocols for millimeter wave networks - New millimeter wave research platforms - Millimeter wave channel measurements and modeling - Novel millimeter wave network architecture - SDN and RAN support for millimeter wave networks - Millimeter wave localization and gesture tracking - Millimeter wave vital sign monitoring - Millimeter wave imaging systems and virtual reality - Millimeter wave V2X: vehicular to anything communication - Millimeter wave wireless data centers - Millimeter wave IoT systems
