We are pleased to invite you to submit your recent works to IEEE GLOBECOM 2025 Workshop on Resilience in Next-Generation Wireless Communication Networks

Resilience is becoming a core requirement across networked systems—from the Internet and IoT to connected cars and cyber-physical systems. The IMT-2030 6G framework highlights resilience as essential for design, deployment, and operation. Networks must withstand and recover from failures, overloads, attacks, and unforeseen disruptions. Resilience involves shock absorption, timely recovery, adaptation, and continuous improvement. Machine learning can enhance resilience but introduces new challenges in control and transparency. A holistic approach is needed across the entire stack: hardware, wireless, networking, and applications. Resilience spans multiple domains: security, fault tolerance, dependability, and survivability. Emerging technologies—AI-native networks, mmWave/THz, JCAS, RIS, UAVs, and MIMO variants—drive this need. Next-gen architectures like O-RAN, cloud RAN, and network slicing demand built-in resilience. We invite contributions addressing resilient design, evaluation, and implementation at all layers.

We seek original and unpublished work related to resilience in wireless communication networks, not currently under review by any other journal/conference. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: • Foundational and unified resilience strategies for 6G • Quantitative resilience evaluation metrics and their application in 6G • Signal processing for resilient communications • Integrated sensing, communication, and computation as resilience enablers in 6G • Resilient network architecture design, including OpenRAN and SDN • Resilience in backhaul, midhaul, and fronthaul in 6G • Intelligent network orchestration via control and management through SMO and RIC for resilience • Resilient radio resource management in 6G • Network security and privacy challenges in 6G • Semantic and task-oriented communications for resilience • Integrated AI/ML, deep learning, and distributed learning for resilient design, deployment, and operation • Network slicing to combat disruptions or failures • Automated error-handling mechanisms on the radio link control layer in 6G • Dynamic and adaptable scheduling algorithms on the medium access control layer in 6G • Next-generation multiple access schemes (OFDMA, NOMA, RSMA) for resilient 6G • Integrated terrestrial, aerial, and space (non-terrestrial) networks for resilient 6G • Diversity and redundancy on the 6G PHY layer • RIS-enabled resilience • MIMO architectures (cloud RAN, multi-cloud MIMO, massive MIMO, cell-free MIMO) for resilience • Resilience in sub-6 GHz, mmWave, and terahertz bands
