Deadline extended (firm) : 2nd International Workshop on Ambient Assisted Living and eHealth (AALEH 2017)
2nd International Workshop on Ambient Assisted Living and eHealth (AALEH 2017)
Co-Located with 14th IEEE Consumer Communications and Networking Conference (CCNC 2017)
January 8, 2017, Las Vegas, USA
http://aaleh2017.itmexicali.edu.mx
SCOPE
The advances in computing, communications and sensing technologies have allowed the development of eHealth and Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) services to mainly benefit the elderly and individuals with disabilities. These services are a helpful tool to address the inherent problems of the aging societies. Among the enabling technologies of eHealth and ALL services, we have wireless sensor networks, the Internet of Things, big data, ambient intelligence, and cyber-physical systems, just to name a few.
The development of eHealth and Ambient Assisted Living services requires the seamless integration of computing and communication technologies, and the use of efficient algorithms and platforms. In addition, these services may also enforce the use of new approaches and paradigms for ubiquitous computing and closed-loop solutions.
The main objective of this workshop is to provide a forum for researchers from both academia and industry, to discuss current problems that face the development of the future eHealth and AAL services. We encourage the participation of researchers from the sensing network, Internet of Things, Cyber-physical, Big Data, ubiquitous computing, and signal processing communities, among others, to submit contributions to the workshop.
TOPICS
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following scope:
- Smart Ad hoc and wireless sensor networks for eHealth and AAL
- Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for eHealth and AAL
- Big Data in eHealth and AAL applications
- Cyber-physicals systems aimed to eHealth and AAL
- Cloud and mobile computing for eHealth and AAL
- Service oriented architectures for eHealth and AAL
- Mobile solutions for eHealth and AAL
- eHealth and AAL services design and implementation
- Pervasive and ubiquitous computing for eHealth and AAL
- Body sensor networks and wearable sensor systems
- Network architectures and protocols for eHealth and AAL
- Wireless access to eHealth and AAL systems
- Security, privacy and trust management for eHealth and AAL
- Middleware for eHealth and AAL systems
INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
Submitted papers must represent original material that is not currently under review in any other conference or journal, and has not been previously published. Paper length should not exceed six-page (10-point font) technical paper manuscript.
Papers should be submitted in .pdf format by selecting CCNC 2017 on the EDAS paper submission website and then selecting AALEH workshop submission link. All paper submissions should be written in English with a maximum paper length of six (6) printed pages (10-point font). Three (3) additional page are allowed with a charge of 100 USD each. Papers exceeding 9 pages will not be accepted at EDAS. Papers will receive at least 3 independent reviews from the workshop TPC.
To be published in the IEEE CCNC 2017 Conference Proceedings and to be eligible for publication in IEEE Xplore®, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the Full or Limited (member or non-member) rate and the paper must be presented by an author of that paper at the conference unless the TPC Chair grants permission for a substitute presenter in advance of the event and who is qualified both to present and answer questions. Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the paper. For authors with multiple accepted papers, one full registration is valid for up to 3 papers. Accepted and presented papers will be published in the IEEE CCNC 2017 Conference Proceedings and submitted to IEEE Xplore®.
