--------------------------- Call for Workshop Proposals ---------------------------
CPSCom 2010 - The 3rd IEEE/ACM International Conference on Cyber, Physical and Social Computing http://cse.stfx.ca/~CPSCom2010/ Sponsored by IEEE, IEEE CS, IEEE TCSC and ACM Hangzhou, China, October 30 - November 1, 2010
IEEE/ACM CPSCom 2010 is the next event of the successful International Conferences on Cyber, Physical and Social Computing (CPSCom), previously held as CyberSocialCom-09 (Hangzhou, China, November, 2009) and CPSC-09 (Brisbane, Australia, July, 2009). It will be an exciting international forum for researchers to exchange the information regarding advancements in the state of the art and practice of cyber, physical and social computing, as well as to identify the emerging research topics and define the future.
Proposals are solicited for workshops to be held in conjunction with CPSCom 2010. The purpose of these workshops is to provide vibrant opportunities for researchers and industry practitioners to share their research experience, original research results and practical development experiences on specific new challenges and emerging issues at the forefront of cyber, physical and social computing.
The organizers of the workshop shall have responsibility of the call for papers, forming program committee, review and selection of papers as well as planning the workshop program. The registration fee for workshops will be determined by the conference (not the workshop itself). The fees will be paid to the conference, and the conference will provide workshop facilities including the working notes printing, the meeting room, coffee break, lunch, proceedings and etc.
Proceedings of CPSCom 2010 workshops will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press (Indexed by EI). The workshops with more than accepted 15 papers will be granted with a free complimentary registration for the leading workshop organizer.
Important Dates --------------- Workshop proposal due: May 10, 2010 Workshop notification: ongoing as received CFP and website for each workshop: May 20, 2010 Suggested paper submission deadline: July 15, 2010 Suggested paper status notification: Aug 15, 2010 Camera-ready due: Aug 30, 2010
Proposal Submission ------------------- Prospective workshop organizers should send a proposal containing the following information to CPSCom 2010 Workshop Chairs: - Title of the workshop (Full name and Abbreviation) - Objectives, scope, and contribution to the main conference (up to 1 page) - Short bio of the key organizers and their experience on conference/workshop organization - Procedure for selecting papers, plans for dissemination (for example, how to advertise and special issues of journals), and the expected number of participants - A tentative list of program committee members - A tentative website address
Each workshop should identify one organizer as the point of contact. A brief advertisement plan should be included in the proposal.
Approved workshops should strictly follow the important dates, particularly the paper status notification and camera-ready dates. The submission deadline could be later than that of the main conference. But a workshop should have sufficient time, say 5-7 weeks, for generating peer reviews. Generally, each paper should receive 3 peer reviews.
Proposals should be sent via email to all workshops chairs. Enquiries can also be sent to any one of the workshops chairs.
