2004 World Wireless Congress May 25-28, 2004, San Francisco www.b3g.org ===============================
The World Wireless Congress (WWC) has become a most unique technical and business event on Beyond 3G and 4G technologies, and attracted thousands of professionals from all over the world. This congress proceedings become the very well recognized reference materials in major libraries and technical organizations on next generation wireless mobile communications. In recognition of its global leadership and significance, this event had been sponsored by almost all leading wireless industries in the world, and it is really a great opportunity to help promote their innovative technologies in this extremely important global wireless summit.
There has been tremendous interest recently in the convergence of mobile wireless and local wireless access systems and networks. B3G and 4G have been the very hot subject of much research and many standardization activities throughout the world. Many B3G/4G related technical committees are taking the initiative to produce enhanced proposals of radio transmission technologies, wireless applications protocols, All-IP wireless network architectures, super signal processing and advanced system prototypes for B3G and 4G mobile. The objective of this conference is to gather the research and development papers in this field and present an overview of the-state-of-the-art of this B3G/4G storm - globally or locally, as well as perspectives on future development in order to promote future research activities as well as business strategies. Original contributions are invited on recent research and development of B3G and 4G systems and networks such as CDMA/TDMA/OFDM, OWA (open wireless architecture), Software Definable Radio, Wireless Mobile Internet, Antennas and MIMO, Wireless Application Protocols, Wireless Security, Wireless Multimedia, Wireless Video, Wireless Access, All-IP Wireless Architecture, Converged 3G/WLAN/WPAN, etc. The topics of interest within the scope of this conference include (but are not limited to) the following:
*Open Wireless Architecture (OWA) *4Gmobile initiatives, e.g. higher datarate, best QoS, spectrum efficient, access control, All-IP wireless terminal, security, convergence, intelligence, MIMO *Convergence of 3Gwireless and Internet, e.g. Secured Wireless Mobile Internet *Radio Transmission Technology for 3G and 4G, e.g. OFDM, WCDMA, CDD *Software Definable Base Station system for 3G and 4G, e.g. Super DSP, SRF *Smart Mobile Terminal system for 3G and 4G, e.g. 4G communicator *Advanced Digital RF system concepts, e.g. Super-conductor, Super A/D *System architecture, protocal stack and reference model *Network solutions for 3G and 4G, e.g. All-IP wireless, IPv6, IPon Air *Enhanced services for 3G and 4G, e.g. wireless stream, e-commerce *Re-configurability issues for flexible 3G/4G system platforms (RF and BB) *2G - 3G - 4G migration and evolution issues *Wireless Mobile ATM (wmATM) technologies, e.g. Broadband Mobile Access *Smart antenna, Antenna array, MIMO and Digital Beam Forming, etc. *Harmonization issues for 3G/4G Radio Interface, e.g. UMTS/GPRS/WLAN/BT *3G/4G Wireless Applications Protocol, e.g. WAP, wireless-Java, MAP *3G/4G Satellite technology, Space Internet technology, On-Board Wireless *GSM+/W-CDMA/BT chips, WLAN/WPAN chips, cdma2000/WLAN chips, etc. *Co-existence with broadband wireless access, e.g. 802.11a, 802.16.3/4 *3G/4G mobility management and new billing technologies *Evolution of Macrocell to Microcell to Picocell *Broadband Mobile Wireless (BMW), including 3G and 4G *3G/4G Bandwidth on Demand issues, e.g. scheduler, DBA, resource allocation *Other 3G/4G Issues, e.g. access control, channel allocation, wireless packet, ... *Convergence of broadband wireless mobile and access issues *System survey, deployment, optimization and engineering *Ad-Hoc wireless issues, Wireless Router, Mobile Base-station *Reconfigurable terminal with 3G, Wireless-LAN, Bluetooth (3-in-1) *3Gwireless DSP, Processor, Converter, Bus Architecture, etc. *OFDM, Turbo Codes, Smart Codes and Adaptive Modulations, etc *Wireless Video, Wireless Multimedia, Wireless Streaming, etc *Wireless TCP, Wireless IP, Wireless Security, Wireless OS, etc. *New 3G/4G spectrums (e.g. 2.5GHz, 5GHz) and Spectrum Sharing *Integrated Circuit to Super Circuit, System on Chip, Open Wireless Chip *Any wireless issues, e.g. theory, analysis, simulation, model, test, performance *3G/4G applications: mass-markets, military, airlines, specialized services, etc. *Security protocols, cryptographic protocols, privacy and anonymity, key and trust management, antivirus and firewall for the mobile, intrusion detection *Disaster response and survivability, security architecture, models and policies *3G/4G investment, evaluation, strategy, licensing, marketing, policy, etc *All emerging wireless issues
The submitted papers will be reviewed by world-class referees. Each paper is, in principle, limited to ten pages in electronic format. Original, unpublished contribution will be considered for this conference presentation as well as proceedings. Prospective authors are requested to send extended summary (3~5 Pages) of their manuscripts to the address instructed on the website. Result will be announced after full technical reviewing process. The deadline for the initial paper submission is November 15, 2003. In addition to regular technical papers, proposals of tutorials, workshops and business panel forums are also welcome.
[Important Dates]
Extended Summary Due (maximum 5 pages in PDF/TXT/DOC file): 15 November 2003 Acceptance Notification: 15 January 2004 Camera-Ready Paper Due: 28 February 2004
The mission and objective of this great event are: technical and professional excellence; networking and team building; sharing information from meeting with others; making new contacts; learning what others do in your field.
