Joint 2nd Workshop on Positioning, Navigation and Communication 2005 (WPNC’05) & 1st Ultra-Wideband Expert Talk (UET’05)

Competence Center Of Lower Saxony For Information Systems For Mobile Usage

Scope

Mobile position aware systems combined with modern wireless technologies are getting more and more important. When developing systems of this kind, problems in various fields of information and communication technology need to be solved. The workshop shall give an overview of state-of-the art approaches and systems. In this context the expert talk will focus on the upcoming ultra-wideband technology.

Topics

You are invited to submit scientific papers, or papers presenting practical implementations, addressing, but not limited to, the following topics:

WPNC’05 (Day One)

- Positioning - Outdoor-Radio Systems (terrestrial & satellite-based) - Indoor-Positioning - Hybrid Approaches

- Navigation - Pedestrian Navigation - Car Navigation

- Communication and Services - Integrated Positioning and Communication - Location Based Services

UET’05 (Day Two)

- Ultra-Wideband - Positioning - Architectures, Systems, Protocols - Hybrid Positioning and Communication - Regulatory Issues, EMC/EMI

Submission Guidelines

Full-paper or poster submissions in the form of extended abstracts (max. 3 pages) are requested electronically in PDF- or PS-format in English language until 29. Nov. 2004 to workshop2005@wpnc.net.

With acceptance, complete contributions of up to 10 pages for full-papers and up to 6 pages for posters are expected until 18. Feb. 2005.

The workshop proceedings in book-form will be published in the series “Hannoversche Beiträge zur Nachrichtentechnik“ by SHAKER publishing.
