CALL FOR PAPERS
33rd IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium, Wireless Sensor Networks Track
(RTSS 2012)
December 4 - 7, 2012
San Juan, Puerto Rico
http://www.rtss.org/ Wireless sensor networks have emerged as a new platform for distributed embedded systems. Example applications include medical care, emergency response, critical infrastructure protection, intelligent transportation, and smart manufacturing. The Wireless Sensor Networks track at the 33rd IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium (RTSS) aims at fostering the interaction and collaboration of researchers and exchanging new ideas in various aspects of sensor network research. The technical program of this track will consist of selected regular papers. Authors are invited to submit original unpublished manuscripts that demonstrate current research on various aspects of wireless sensor network systems. We particularly encourage paper submissions that describe implementation, experimentation, and experiences on real-time and Quality of Service aspects of sensor network systems. Selections of papers will depend on both technical quality and relevance to real-time and QoS issues.
Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following:
o Real-time and Quality of Service (QoS) issues in sensor networks o Sensor network applications and deployment experiences o Sensor network protocols and architectures o Operating systems and middleware for sensor networks o Smartphone systems for participatory sensing o Distributed networked sensing and control o Power management o Programming abstractions o Detection, classification, and estimation o Time synchronization
