" Call for Papers: IEEE INFOCOM 2018 HotPOST Workshop
The Mobile devices have become an imperative component of everyday life, and their use will only become more intensive in the foreseeable future. Bell Labs recently predicts that, by 2020, the consumption demand for digital content and services on mobile and portable devices will see a global average increase of 30 to 45 times from 2014 levels—with some markets experiencing as much as a 98-fold jump. This huge demand stimulates multiple technology developments such as mobile edge computing, Internet of things, wearables, and crowdsourcing. Meanwhile, as a fundamental part of numerous services including messaging, gaming, advertising, recommending, commercing, and content sharing, online social networking needs to be provisioned and used via mobile devices in any place at any time. From 2016 onwards, Facebook has had around 1 billion monthly active users who accessed it via mobile devices only. Utilizing the emerging mobile technologies to enable pervasive and enriched online social interactions has become a vital trend.
The 10th International Workshop on Hot Topics in Pervasive Mobile and Online Social NeTworking (HotPOST 2018) will be held in conjunction with IEEE INFOCOM 2018 in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA on April 16, 2018. HotPOST 2018 aims to bring together researchers, engineers, and practitioners who work on mobile computing, online social networks, and the intersection of both, to identify the new problems and discuss the latest research ideas and results, especially those related to emerging technologies. HotPOST 2018 focuses on all aspects about mobile and online social networking, including architecture, design, implementation, measurement, modeling, algorithm, and analysis.
The topics include but are not limited to the following: - Mobile-centric social network services - Location-based social networks - Mobile cloud computing and networking - Mobile edge/fog computing and wearable computing - Mobile online advertising and payment - Internet of things, augmented/virtual reality, and crowdsourcing - Measurement of mobile systems and applications - User behavior analysis in mobile applications - Security and privacy in mobile systems and social networks - Reputation, incentives, and economics in mobile systems - Modeling and algorithm design for mobile systems

Submission link: https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=24224
Authors are encouraged to submit papers describing original and unpublished research, not currently under review in other venues, addressing the state-of-the-art research and development in all aspects of mobile computing, online social networks, or the intersection of both. In particular, innovative, early-stage ideas and preliminary results are welcome. Papers must be submitted electronically as PDF files, formatted for 8.5x11-inch paper. The length of the paper must be no more than 6 pages in the IEEE double-column format (10-pt font), including references and everything. The reviews will be single blind. The first page must contain an abstract, the name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s), as well as the corresponding contact information. Each submission will receive independent, blind peer reviews from the program committee. At least one of the authors of every accepted paper must register and present the paper at the workshop. The program committee will select one paper, based on the highest average review scores, for the Best Paper Award. "
