Description: Smart Cities are emerging as a priority for research and development in the U.S. and around the world due to growing global needs to create more livable urban spaces. Smart Cities require more than just technological solutions; they must be human-centric and built for the sustained, optimal livelihoods of their inhabitants. The vision of Smart Cities therefore calls for collaborations among engineers, architects, social scientists, and educators. Mobile services will play a key role in Smart Cities R&D. IEEE MS 2015 – MSSC (Mobile Services for Smart Cities) will provide a great platform to allow researchers and professionals in the industry and academia to exchange their latest research results and development activities on Mobile Services for Smart Cities. The primary objective is to share research ideas and results, emerging industry technologies, and latest advances.
List of Topics: Topics include, but are not limited to:
* Mobile services technologies, systems, and infrastructures for smart cities * Mobile services for sustainable and green urban living * Ubiquitous sensing and urban analytics * Modeling the social impact of mobile services on smart cities * security and privacy of mobile services in smart cities * Case studies and testbeds for mobile services for smart cities around the world
MSSC Special Track Important Dates: Full Paper Submission Due Date: *April 5, 2015* Decision Notification (Electronic): April 25, 2015 Accepted Paper Camera-Ready Copy to the IEEE FTP Site Due Date: April 30, 2015
Submission Guidelines: Submitted manuscripts will be limited to 8 (IEEE Proceedings style) pages and REQUIRED to be formatted using the IEEE Proceedings template located at http://www.themobileservices.org/2015/IEEECS_CPS_8.5x11x2.zip. Unformatted papers and papers beyond 8 pages will not be reviewed. Electronic submission of manuscripts (in PDF or Word format) is required.
