Call for Demonstrations and Exhibitions for The 2008 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo (ICME 2008) June 23-26, 2008 -- Hannover, Germany
We're the "E" in ICME
IEEE International Conference on Multimedia & Expo is a major annual international conference with the objective of bringing together researchers, developers, and practitioners from academia and industry working in all areas of multimedia. ICME serves as a forum for the dissemination of state-of-the-art research, development, and implementations of multimedia systems, technologies and applications.
The exhibition aims at an exchange of knowledge and ideas between researchers triggered by appealing demonstrations of multimedia technology. Each selected demonstration (see below) will be entitled to have 2 pages in the final proceedings and the CD of the conference.
Prospective authors are invited to contribute to the "E" in ICME. Demos and exhibits are solicited in all areas of multimedia from industries, universities, and vendors.
*Scope and Format*
There are three categories of exhibits:
1. Live Demonstrations will include leading edge work in every area of multimedia technology and its application. We encourage demonstrating the "process" rather than the ÔÇ£resultsÔÇØ as this would make the demos more live and entertaining.
2. Video Demonstrations allow researchers and artists to demonstrate their tool, system or application without having to bring the equipment for a "live" demo.
3. Vendor Exhibitions will include products and systems from vendors (including publishers) in every area of multimedia technology and its application.
*Cost*
Demonstrations of multimedia technology take place on June 25, the second day of the conference (cost only 100 Euro per table if with a full conference registration, 500 Euro otherwise). A booth selling books can be set up for the full duration of the conference (cost 1500 Euro per booth).
