IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics INDIN´2017
– The Undergoing Industrial Informatics R-Evolution –
24th to 26th July, 2017 Emden, Germany http://indin2017.i2ar.de/
Sponsored by: IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Organized by: I2AR, Hochschule Emden/Leer, (DE) Technical co-sponsors: University of Applied Sciences Emden/Leer, Universidade Nova de Lisboa-FCT-DEE. Background IEEE INDIN is the premier conference series presenting the state of the art and future perspectives of industrial information technologies, where industry experts, researchers, and academics share ideas and experiences surrounding frontier technologies, breakthrough and innovative solutions and applications. Previous conferences in the series were held in Banff Canada (2003), Berlin Germany (2004), Perth Australia (2005), Singapore (2006), Vienna Austria (2007), Daejeon Korea (2008), Cardiff UK (2009), Osaka Japan (2010), Lisbon Portugal (2011), Bochum Germany (2012), Beijing China (2013), Porto Alegre Brazil (2014), Cambridge UK (2015) and Poitiers France (2016).
Aim
The aim of INDIN'2017, under the motto "The Undergoing Industrial Informatics R-Evolution", is to bring together researchers and practitioners from industry and academia and provide them with a platform to report on recent developments, deployments, technology trends and research results, as well as initiatives related to industrial informatics and their application.
Technical Tracks * Internet of things (IoT) and emerging paradigms
* Cyber-physical system (CPS) and industrial agents
* Cloud and wireless systems for industrial applications
* Cognitive and computational intelligence
* Industrial digitalization, big data and analytics
* Human, computer and machine interface
* Factory automation and communication, mechatronics and robotics
* Distributed and networked control systems
* Technologies and infrastructures for smart grids, buildings, and cities
* Education in engineering and industrial informatics
* Tools for industrial informatics applications
Special Sessions To enhance the technical program and focus on specific topics and areas, INDIN'2017 will include special sessions, in addition to regular ones. Special sessions can cover subjects or cross-subjects related to the topics of interest, or novel topics related with the ones identified within the topics of interest. Special sessions can also have the drive from specific Research & Innovation (R&I) projects or clusters of projects. A good quality paper may be considered for publication in IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (I.F.=4.708) subjects to further rounds of review. Industry Forum, Tools Demonstrations & Exhibition To support specific discussions among participants, INDIN’2017 will include an Industry Forum, Tools Demonstration & Exhibition. The Industry Forum will consist on a set of technical sessions with the participation of leader-companies and institutions. The Tools Session will include oral presentation of the tool paper, as well as participation on the Tools Exhibition. A tool paper is a paper which has its focus on the description of a cyber-physical system (CPS)-tool (neither on the application of the tool nor on the theory behind the tool). The tool should be available for use by other groups in a non-commercial basis. If you are interested in participating in the Industry Forum, please contact the Industry Forum Co-Chairs at: industryforum@indin2017.i2ar.de mailto:industryforum@indin2017.i2ar.de . If you are interested in participating in the Tools, Demos and Exhibitions, please contact the Tools, Demos and Exhibitions Co-Chairs at: tools_exhibitions@indin2017.i2ar.de mailto:tools_exhibitions@indin2017.i2ar.de Tutorials Several tutorials are planned on the latest trends in Industrial Informatics taking place during the three days of the conference. If you are interested in organizing a tutorial, please contact Tutorials Co-Chairs at tutorial@indin2017.i2ar.de mailto:tutorial@indin2017.i2ar.de .
Submission of Papers The working language of the conference is English. Prospective participants are requested to electronically submit full papers of their work (6 pages max.) following the instructions available on the website. Accepted papers will be published in IEEE proceedings volume to be included in IEEE Xplore. Note: There will be the possibility of coordinate common submissions to the conference and to the IEEE Transaction on Industrial Informatics.
Paper Acceptance Each accepted paper must be presented at the conference by one of the authors. Papers not presented will not be included in IEEE Xplore. The final manuscript must be accompanied by a registration form and a registration fee payment proof. All conference attendees, including authors and session chairpersons, must pay the conference registration fee, and their travel expenses.
Important Dates: * Deadline for submission of special sessions proposals: February 17, 2017
* Deadline for submission of tutorials proposals: April 07, 2017
* Deadline for submission of papers (regular, special sessions, and tools): March 28, 2017
* Notification of acceptance: May 05, 2017
* Deadline for submission of final manuscripts: June 02, 2017
