******************************************************************* IEEE VTC 2021 Workshop on Autonomous Vehicular Networking (WAVN) Paper submission due: 1 July 2021
Vehicular communications and networking have been investigated for over twenty years with fruitful research outcomes. Traditional vehicles are viewed as wireless transceivers that form vehicular networks. Autonomous vehicles, integrating rich computing power, various types of sensors, and artificial intelligence, will bring real-time intelligence to communications. The recently standardized 5G NR CV2X radio using Millimeter wave (mmWave) would further enhance the performance of vehicular communications. Therefore, emerging technologies from the aspects of sensing, computing, and communication provide both new potentials and new challenges to the research of autonomous vehicular networks.
This workshop invites quality submissions with innovative insights, methodologies, architecture, theory and modeling approaches, and industry developments on autonomous vehicular networks. The technical scope of this workshop includes, but is not limited to the following broad topics:
• Protocol solutions for autonomous vehicular networks • Theory and modeling approach for autonomous vehicular networks • Application, real-world test, and industrial development of autonomous driving and autonomous vehicular networks • 5G/B5G solutions for enabling autonomous vehicular networks • Collaborative communication and/or sensing for autonomous vehicular networks • Computing and machine learning for autonomous vehicular networks • Performance analysis of autonomous vehicular networks • Security and privacy of autonomous vehicular networks
