The 1st IEEE International Workshop on Advances in Vehicular Networks (IWAIVN 2019) In conjunction with 16th IEEE International Conference on Mobile Ad-hoc Sensor Systems (IEEE MASS 2019) Monterey, CA, USA, November 4 - 7, 2019
CONFERENCE WEBSITE: https://sites.google.com/sju.edu/iwaivn2019/home
THE WORKSHOP SCOPE: Recent rapid advances in Mobile Ad-hoc Networks, Wireless Networks, and Sensor Devices have introduced Vehicular Network as an interesting topic to the research community, one that has received much attention from practitioners, scholars, and the public. The Vehicular Network, also known as Inter-Vehicle Communication Network, focuses on the spontaneous creation of a wireless communication network among vehicles, and further providing better transportation for users. Considering that we are in the era of Intelligence, many technologies and applications emerge to develop a more sustainable, efficient, and safe transportation system, such as smart traffic management systems and autonomous car systems. However, there are still many open research problems in this field, such as security and privacy issues during the data communication, green vehicle routing, and the integration of sensors, vehicular network, data center, and the existing transportation systems. To this end, this workshop aims to create a platform for scholars, industry professionals, and government officials to discuss and share new research idea and technologies in the Vehicular Network and its applications.
TOPICS OF INTEREST: Original, unpublished contributions are solicited in all aspects of Vehicular Networks from theory to systems and applications. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to: New Applications of Vehicular Networks Deployment Strategies of Roadside Units Quality of Service in Vehicular Networks Vehicular Networks-related Edge-to-Fog-to-Cloud Communications and Network Protocols in Vehicular Networks (V2V, V2I and V2X) Big Data in Vehicular Networks Artificial Intelligence/Machining Learning in Vehicular Networks Block-chain Technologies in Vehicular Networks 5G Technologies in Vehicular Networks Security Issues in Vehicular Networks Privacy Issues in Vehicular Networks Trust Management in Vehicular Networks Congestion Control in Vehicular Networks Simulation and Evaluation Techniques for Vehicular Networks Traffic Management Modeling of Vehicular Networks Multiple System Integration for Vehicular Networks Data Storage, Retrieval, and Management in Vehicular Networks Autonomous Vehicles Green Vehicle Routing Vehicular Networks in the Internet of Things Software-Defined Networks in Vehicular Networks Vehicular Networks in Smart City Power Management of Electric Vehicles Radio Propagation Aspects of Vehicular Networks Cooperative Driving In-Vehicle Network Communications
