===================================================================================== CIPHERSS: 1st Workshop on Critical Infrastructure PHysical-cybER Safety and Security The conference will be held in Leuven, Belgium 8th April 2024 https://edcc2024.esat.kuleuven.be/ in conjunction with the 19th European Dependable Computing Conference (EDCC) =====================================================================================
MISSION: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Critical Infrastructures (CIs) are an inevitable part of the modern, interconnected world. Their main objective is to provide services essential for the physical and economical well-being of citizens. The number of the attack attempts such infrastructures endure, forces academy, industries and public bodies to keep high the interest in the protection against security threats. Recent Artificial Intelligence (AI) advancements improve CIs protection through risk analysis. Digital Twins (DTs) enhance risk assessment and decision-making by syncing complex systems and incorporating data, including consumer behaviour.
CIPHERSS workshop aims at providing a forum to communicate their latest results on theoretical advances, industrial case studies, practical scenarios, and lessons learned in the design and in the verification of properties of critical infrastructures.
TOPICS: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The topics of interest include but are not limited to, the areas listed below -approaches based on the combination of different perspectives (e.g., physical and cyber security); -security/performance trade-offs for cryptographic schemes and algorithms; -safety/security trade-offs in protection systems; -integration between model-based and data-driven approaches; -innovative techniques based on DTs; -usage of AI techniques to ensure quality and related trustworthiness; -predictive and defect maintenance; -risk assessment methodologies for critical infrastructure protections
PAPER SUBMISSION: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submitted papers (up to 15 pages including references) will be reviewed by three members of Program Committee (or their sub-reviewers) and selection of accepted papers will be based on relevance, quality and originality. Ensuring the reproducibility of the results is a highly appreciated feature of the contributions. Accepted papers will be published in a Springer book (to be confirmed). At least one of the (co)author(s) of each accepted paper is required to register and attend the conference to present the work.
Authors must use the LNCS conference proceedings format obtainable at: https://www.springer.com/gp/computer-science/lncs/conference-proceedings-gui.... All papers for the CIPHERSS Workshop should be submitted via dedicated EasyChair (https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=cipherss2024).
If you have any questions regarding the submission of manuscripts, please contact one of the Workshop Chairs.
IMPORTANT DATES: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Paper submission Dec 18th, 2023 Author notification Jan 26th, 2024 Camera-ready paper Feb 5th, 2024
