Call for Papers: The 15th International Conference on Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN 2019)
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong December 11-13, 2019 https://conference.cs.cityu.edu.hk/msn2019
**** Scope and Objectives **** Mobile ad-hoc and sensor networking is a key area of enabling technologies for the next-generation Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems. Recent years have witnessed the increasing convergence of algorithms, protocols, and applications for mobile ad-hoc and sensor networks in a range of applications including connected vehicles, smart cities, and smart health. Building on the past 14 years of success, the 15th International Conference on Mobile Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks (MSN 2019) provides a forum for academic researchers and industry practitioners to exchange new research ideas, present their progress, and identify future directions in the field of mobile ad-hoc and sensor networks.
The conference solicits submissions from all areas relating to mobile sensing and networking as well as corresponding applications. Contributions must relate to at least one of the following topics of interest:
- Networking technologies and protocols for mobile ad hoc and sensor networks, such as 5G networks, cognitive radio, and low-power networking - Applications of artificial intelligence in networking and communications - Delay-tolerant and opportunistic networking - System designs for mobile ad hoc and sensor networks - Distributed computing technologies for mobile networks, such as edge and fog computing and smart networks - Network security and privacy - Novel applications and architectures of mobile ad-hoc and sensor networks in urban computing, smart city systems, or the Internet of Things - Mobile social networks, crowdsensing and mobile computing - Intelligent sensor and vehicular networks - Practical experiences with mobile ad hoc and sensor networks
MSN 2019 is supported by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, the City University of Hong Kong, and technically co-sponsored by IEEE (pending approval). It is on the CCF conference list.
**** Important Dates **** - Deadline for paper submissions: August 15, 2019 - Notification of paper acceptance: October 15, 2019 - Deadline for camera-ready papers: October 30, 2019
**** Paper Submission and Publication **** Submitted manuscripts must be prepared according to IEEE Computer Society Proceedings Format (double column, 10pt font, letter paper) and submitted in PDF file format. The manuscript should be no longer than 6 pages. Up to two additional pages are permitted if the authors are willing to pay an over-length charge at the time of publication (manuscripts cannot exceed 8 pages in total). Submitted manuscripts must not contain previously published material or be under consideration for publication in another conference or journal.
All submissions to MSN 2019 must be uploaded to EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=msn2019
Accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings and published in the IEEE Xplore digital library (indexed by EI). At least one author of any accepted paper must register and present the paper at the conference. Selected papers of particular merit will be recommended for consideration of fast track publication in special issues of SCI-indexed journals. The best submission will receive the MSN 2019 best paper award.
