CALL FOR PAPERS
The 15th International Symposium on Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications (WPMC'12) September 24 - 27, 2012 Taipei, Taiwan http://wpmc2012.ntu.edu.tw/
The Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications Symposium (WPMC'12) will be held in Taipei, Taiwan. The WPMC symposia series were inaugurated in 1998, as a global platform which aims at enabling collaboration in the field of wireless information and multimedia communications. Held in Asia, Europe and America, WPMC has established itself as a unique global conference dedicated to wireless multimedia convergence. Continuing the series, the 15th International Symposium on Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications will be held for the first time in Taiwan. The theme of this year's symposium is "Autonomous Communication and Networking for Promoting Human Living". In addition to high-quality technical sessions, the symposium will feature workshops and tutorials.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
* Wireless Communications - Radio propagation and channel modeling - MIMO communications and smart antennas - Cognitive radios and software defined radios - Communication, coding, and information theory - Green communications - Signal Processing Techniques
* Applications and Services - Experimental trials and deployment - Security and privacy - Mobile social networks - Location and identification based services - Mobile multimedia
* Internet of Things and M2M Communications - System architecture - Autonomous reconfigurable connectivity - Cyber-physical systems - Context aware data analysis and networking - M2M enabling scenarios
* Wireless Networks - Multiple access - Ad hoc networks and sensor networks - Cooperative networks - Network protocols and QoS scheduling - Radio resource and mobility management, energy efficiency
* Systems, Standards, and Regulations - Mobile cellular systems and migration - Spectrum sharing, coexistence, and allocation - Harmonization - Smart grid communications - International standards
* International Workshop on Social Networks - Information propagation/dissemination - Interweaved telecommunications-social networks - Topology characterization/inference - Self-organizing networks
[Important Dates] * Paper Submission: April 15, 2012 * Tutorial Proposal Submission: April 15, 2012 * Notification of Acceptance: June 15, 2012 * Camera Ready Submission: July 15, 2012
[Submission Guidelines] Authors are invited to submit full papers (5 pages maximum) according to the detailed instructions given on http://wpmc2012.ntu.edu.tw/PaperSubmission.asp.
