3rd International Conference on Advances in Pattern Recognition ----------------------------------------------------------------
The third international conference on Advances in Pattern Recognition will showcase the latest research in the area of pattern recognition and machine learning. The focus will be on new and emerging techniques in pattern recognition and machine learning. The conference has three specific goals: (a) The description and discussion of new techniques that will make a step change in the area; (b) The use of unconventional and often off-the-mainstream techniques to solve complex tasks; and (c) A theoretical understanding of how the nature of data impacts upon known techniques, their limitations, and comparison to each other. The conference will focus on both applied work as well as theoretical advances. It is however theoretical contribution that will underpin research and will be emphasised in the review process.
The conference will be organised in Bath which is the best-preserved Georgian city in Britain, a showpiece of Georgian architecture with picturesque streets and stone-fronted houses. The Romans were captivated by the area of Bath over 2,000 years ago, when Bath was a vast green valley with a miraculous stream of endless hot water. The Roman bath and temple complex are still a world-class attraction. Beautiful and elegant, Bath enjoys many thousands of tourists from all over the world. The conference will be organized at the University of Bath.
The ICAPR conference will be co-located with the International Postgraduate Conference on Pattern Analysis for Applications in Physical and Life Sciences (http://www.ipc2005.org.uk), which will be organised on the same dates at the same location. The demonstrations of any software will take place jointly.
We invite you to attend and publish at ICAPR 2005. http://www.icapr2005.org.uk/
