Hello, I was going through the configuration file and I had some problems understanding what the discovery announcements address is about? The default address is 224.0.0.1. Could someone please explain it a bit more thoroughly? Thank you.

I mean your system's search path. echo $PATH . Probably the path where you installed dtn2 is in there (first). If you don't have experience with Linux based systems, uninstalling DTN2 might be the easiest solution. ibr-dtn ping

Hello, I have the dtn daemon installed on my pc.First I want to send a ping from the daemon to itself. I have used both the default configuration file and a modified one I'm going to need for a future task. So I have the deamon running on one terminal and on another terminal I write dtnping dtn://dimitrishp.dtn/echo in order to send the ping. Although the daemon seems to be running fine with both files, I always get the same error : fatal error opening dtn handle: error in ipc communication Any ideas how to get it fixed? Good morning! The parameter --badclock is only required if the clocks of the nodes are not in sync and this approach has not been tested with DTN2 and might result in expiring bundles! It is better to leave this out. Dtnping is working with DTN2, IBR-DTN and any combination of them. Important here is to address the right endpoint. IBR-DTN has ".../echo" and DTN2 has ".../ping". If that is not enough to get your setup working, you should sent me at least the log output of all the daemon (IBR-DTN AND DTN2). SQLiteBundleStorage version issues

Hello, I am trying to implement the SQLite Bundle storage mechanism in IBR-DTN and I'm running into issues that I did not have with the 0.6.4 release of IBR-DTN. Right now whenever I try to run dtnd, the output says that I am running version 0 and I need to upgrade to 1. I never get a print out saying what version I'm using as in this line below IBRCOMMON_LOGGER(info) << "SQLiteDatabaseNC: Database version " << version << " found." << IBRCOMMON_LOGGER_ENDL; I believe means this that the code is getting sent to the catch for the doUpgrade(0, DBSCHEMA_VERSION). Are there any reasons you can think of as to why I would get this result? I have the latest version of sqlite installed from the Ubuntu repositories. Thanks, Carson

Hello Carlos. As written in your other mail you already set discovery_version = 0. This is right if you want to do neighbor discovery with DTN2. ibr-dtn commands

Hello, I have a few questions about the ibr-dtn commands.I have only recently started experimenting with ibr-dtn on my pc and router. I have familiarized myself with the dtn2 daemon and I was wondering if the same command formats apply to both daemons, since ibr-dtn is based on dtn2.More specifically I am currently insterested in the basic commands dtnping,dtnsend and dtnrecv. Will the ibr-dtn daemon accept the dtn2 format of these commands? Thank you, Dimitris.

NeighborRoutingExtension issues

Hello, I am currently trying to implement my network coding router in IBR-DTN and I'm having some issues with the 0.8.0 version that didn't occur in the 0.6.4 version. Whenever I try to send out my nullspace bundles to nil://ausgezeichnet, the NeighborRoutingExtension is bouncing them back at the source of the bundle. I don't remember this happening with my nearly identical code in the 0.6.4 version of ibr-dtnd. I see the bundle filter in that extension has changed to include the Singleton identifier, which wasn't in the old version. Is this why my bundles are being reflected? Thanks Carson Dunbar

Shouldn't it be that we're comparing probability of the neighbor delivering to the destination and the current node's probability of delivering to the destination? More explicitly, let P(A,B) be the node A's DPI value for destination node B. Suppose node A has a bundle addressed to node C, and that it encounters node B. The comparison I think we want to make is: P(B,C) > P(A,C)? Then fwd the bundle to B. The comparison the code seems to be making is: P(A,B) > P(A,C)? Besides that, if node A encounters node C, it will make the comparison P(A,C) > P(A,C)? Which will always be false. I guess the neighbor router can take over in that case, though. Thanks, Carson
