hello, I'm doing research for my thesis about ibr-dtn routing. i have several questions about routing on ibr-dtn. 1. how can i configure ibrdtn.conf file to if i want to : send data from node A to node C, but it goes through node B first before reach node C ? 2. how can i see(check) that bundle sent to node B from A and sent again to node C ? thank you so much. hope that you can help fix my problem :)

Patch release 0.12.1 is available! This release fixes a bug which lead to unnecessary transmissions on each contact. Beside several minor improvements, it also contains a new early duplicate check which should decrease traffic volume. The sources is available via the project Trac. Using IP adress

Hi Instead of using the name of the node (dtn://name) , i want to use her IP adress to test dtnping or other tool ( dtnsend , dtnrecv ...) Can I ? If yes , how ? I mean how is the syntax ? Hi, I have been trying to solve my problems from the feedback you gave me, but I have some questions yet. Priority: I am using the dtnsend tool with different priorities (0, 1 or 2) to send files from node1 to node3, using the relay node2. I sent 15 files of 2Mb in a loop with priority 0 and right after that I sent a file with priority 2. The files need some time to arrive the node3, and I expected that file with priority 2 arrives between the files with priority 0, but it arrives at the end of the 15 files. Do I need to activate something for priority or it is built-in in the ibr-dtn software? Does priority have any impact on the bundles storage when the bundles surpass the limit of storage? BAB authentication: I’m not able to start BAB authentication in OpenWRT. I’m using the same configurations in all the operative systems and the SecurityKeyManager doesn’t start on openWRT, so it is not a configuration problem but probably it is related with the compilation of IBR-DTN for OpenWRT. I analyzed the source and there are flag/defines “dtnsec” or “WITH_BUNDLE_SECURITY” that just compile the SecurityKey Manager part when the required libraries are available. I already installed more libraries in openwrt virtual machine, where I compile but it’s not working yet. My specifications are the following: Cambria: target System (INTEL IXP4XX) Openwrt: Backfire 10.03 IBR-DTN: 0.12.0 openssl-util = y PACKAGE_libopenssl = y Do you know if a need any other library?or other openWRT package? Send a message for a group

Hi all, Looking at the dtnsend command option, i found the option -g which can be used to send a message for a group. I am wondering how can I define a group. Example I have 4 machines( host1, host2, host3, and host4) 1. I want to send a message from host1 to host2 and host3. How can I do this ? 2. I want to broadcast the message for all my neighbors (host1 ==> hosts 2, 3 and 4) How can I broadcast.? I checked on IBR DTN documentation, but I found only how to send from one host to another one. I didn’t find any document explaining the IBR-DTN nor the tools, so I have some questions from the tests that I performed. I would really like to really understand current capabilities of IBR-DTN and then just modify what is necessary or just create new tools. - I activate the scheduling in the nodes and use dtnsend tool with priority option. However, I didn’t see any effect from priority in the file transferring speed nor in the limited bundles storage. Files with higher priority are not delivered first and bundles with lower priority are not deleted from disk to keep the higher priority bundles when the storage's limit is achieved in relay nodes. By the way, the configuration file of OpenWRT is not equal to the configuration file from the ubuntu/macbook daemon, and sometimes is difficult to know the options to configure. exchange messages

Hi , Can someone please explain for me how users exchange messages in IBR-DTN ? And where this is implemented in the code ? To exchange files we use dtnsend and dtnrecv , can we for example exchange songs or other types of messages ? I really appreciate if someone could answer me . Discovery_message Period

Hi all, I checked in IBR-DTN and I found that the discovery messages are exchanged periodically between neighbors each "1second". Is it possible to exchange this period from "1second" to "4 second" ? If yes, I appreciate if someone can tell me in what file I can find the parameter responsible for that. Best regards, Farouk

The relay do not deliver the bundles

Hello, I have the following situation A (B) C. B transports the messages between A and C. In the first moment B has connection only with A and after only with C. I'm having a problem when I try to send one file from A to C (with a node B making the transport of the file). When i send a file from A, as much I can see in the directory /tmp/spool/ibrdtn/bundle of the node B, it receives the file. Then the node B goes until the connection with the node C and it should deliver the file sent previously from A but that does not happens. The deliver just happens if I restart the deamon of the relay (node B). Do you have some idea how to solve the problem without restart the deamon? Can it be about time synchronization? (I put in the configuration file one of the nodes as master and the others as slave) Thank you, Luís Guedes
