Hello, no IBR-DTN can not parse the UCI configuration syntax, so if you use it with the -c option possibly the Parser will bail out early, and default values will be used. On open WRT (and only there), the /etc/init.d/ibrdtn script translates the luci syntax to a valid IBR-DTN configuration file, puts it into /tmp and then starts the daemon. Hello all, I've been studying how the priority parameter works with IBRDTN in a MANET that I have with 4 openwrt routers. My lab setup is the following: Source 1 --\ \ \ Node 3 -------> End 4 / / Source 2---/ I've observed that if I try to send a file with a high priority from source 1 to End 4, and a file with low priority from source 2 to End 4, the file with low priority is received in End 4 before the file with high priority. Reading the RFC 4838, it says the following: Applications specify their requested priority class and data lifetime (see > below) for each ADU they send. If I understand well, the priority marking that is done in the Sources, it's lost in the intermediate Node 3, right? I cannot imagine why DTN works like this? It is really an stupid QoS no? Whats the reason behind this implementation? There is any way that the Node 3 recognizes the priority of the bundles that it has in custody? And from what source they are from? Maybe it is because DTN is aiming for a only bidirectional communication between only 1 source and 1 end and multiple nodes? So a MANET could not be the best option to set a DTN implementation? Hello, I'm struggling with a weird fact, I can not ping from one dtn node(C) to another dtn node (A), and I cannot understand completely why. I have set the right clocks and the configuration but first I have to ping (dtnping) from A to C in order that C can ping A, if I start directly pinging from C to A the nodes cannot see each other. Indeed, looking at the log of C there aren't other dtn nodes present... The discovery_announce are set on C but I don't know how to check whether it's enabled on A (this node uses openwrt). The API error is just a debugging message and is to be expected when a client (dtnping) disconnects form the dameon when it terminates. For your observation, you probably have some problem with discovery. It is hard to guess what exactly is wrong in your setup but the behavior can be explained like this: A sees B, but B does not see A (i.e. because sending or receiving of A's discovery beacons is blocked). In this case B can not initiate a connection to A (dtnping not possible), but A can dtnping B. Once a TCPCL connection is established by A however, B becomes aware of A's existence as a neighbor, and thus it will also be able to contact A. Installing ibr-dtn on OpenWrt

Hello, I have installed ibrdtn on my router which is running the OpenWrt backfire 10.03.1 I am running the dtnd on the router and then trying to standalone ping it. The daemon seems to be running ok, although I get a weird error when terminating it. However when I try to ping it, it transmits no packets and when I terminate the ping I get the following error root@OpenWrt:~# dtnping dtn://OpenWrt/echo ^Cunknown error --- dtn://OpenWrt/echo echo statistics --- 0 bundles transmitted, 0 received, 0% bundle loss, time 1.52 s rtt min/avg/max = 0.00/0.00/0.00 ms Is it possible that this has something to do with the error I get when terminating the daemon? Any ideas what might be wrong? Thank you.

Hello, I'm trying to do a dtnping between two dtn nodes I have, I have noticed that they can see each other, however, when I try to make a ping from node 2 to node C, I get this warning : *Mon Mar 4 13:49:45 2013 WARNING: bundle rejected: bundle has expired ([415720186.377] dtn://node2.dtn/zsKZSPktexxyNvJ -> dtn://nodeC.dtn/echo) Mon Mar 4 13:49:45 2013 WARNING: bundle has been rejected: bundle is expired* I see the packages is discarded, but I cannot understand the reason, is it due to a bad synchronization among the clocks of the devices?
