Thanks for the guidance! In my simulation, I have one more issue... I want to block traffic in nodes, wifi interface, but iptables rules don't seem to block the UDP packetes from MIH in port 4551 (discovery beacons?)... I've tried iptables -A INPUT -i adhoc -j REJECT iptables -A OUTPUT -o adhoc -j REJECT iptables -A FORWARD -i adhoc -o adhoc -j REJECT iptables -A FORWARD -i adhoc -o adhoc -j REJECT ip6tables -A INPUT -i adhoc -j REJECT ip6tables -A OUTPUT -o adhoc -j REJECT iptables -A INPUT -m pkttype --pkt-type multicast -j REJECT iptables -A OUTPUT -m pkttype --pkt-type multicast -j REJECT iptables -A FORWARD -m pkttype --pkt-type multicast -j REJECT iptables -A FORWARD -m pkttype --pkt-type multicast -j REJECT But I can not simulate connectivity loss, beacause udp packets in port 4551 keep on comming, although these rules are applied... anyone tried iptables for simulation of connectivity loss with ibr-dtn?

Fragmentation issue

I recently noticed that if bundle fragment size is about 500 K, dtnstream aplication continues to deliver bundles, but the receiver will not reconstruct, say an mp3 file. how can this featured be explained? If the bundle size is too smal, this application is not reliable?

Binary data using API

Hi, i can send and receive text data using ibr-dtn API with a python code but when I try to send binary data using bundle put binary it always fails saying put bundle failed. It is written in API that binary format follows tcp convergence layer, but it still fails when i use parameters from RFC 7242 for bundle headers . how do i put bundle payload in binary?

In a three node cenario like: A B C In my network, B only forwards bundles from A to C if he previously knows A and C. Is it possible to forward without this knowledge?

Im testing dtnsend and cant seem to send a file with 100 MB. Is it impossible to send it?

Hello Matthijs, the 'management protocol' does have a 'exit' command while switching back from 'extended procotol' is prohibited because this would destroy your application state. If you're app wants to act as application as well as executing management calls, you can and should open two separate API connections.
