at least as for the tools maybe you just forget to install a package. You must install ibrdtn-tools (ibrdtnd is not enough, as it does not depend on the tools), once you have done that, you should find dtnsend, and friends in /usr/bin/
Can't say anything regarding the terminate exception atm.

One last thing.Is there an ibr-dtn manual similar to the dtn2 one? If so,could you please provide a link.
