How can I update the ibrdtn daemon running on my OpenWrt router?

I tried the "opkg update" but it seems that it didn't do the trick?
Any ideas?

Also, are there any known issues regarding the compatibility between different versions of the daemon? For example 0.8.0 and 0.10.0
