Hello,
I am facing a brainteaser with the discovery of an ibr and a dtn2 node. Although I get the setup connection from each node to the other, and I can ping the ibr node from my dtn2 node, I can't do it vice versa.
I have tried both static and epidemic routing (with the necessary discover adjustments) on both nodes but with no success so far.Any ideas on what might be wrong?
Also, suppose that I do get around this pinging issue, is it possible to use other commands that might be interoperable? eg dtninbox, dtnsend.
Regards, Dimitris Giotas
Hi,
If you can ping the IBR DTN node from DTN2, it should work, because once DTN2 connects to IBR-DTN, IBR-DTN should recognizes it as neighbor (even if discovery is not configured correctly). Did you keep in mind that the default Ping EIDs are different between IBR-DTN and DTN2? DTN2's ping app listens on /ping while the one from IBR-DTN listens on /echo, thus to ping DTN2 from IBR-DTN you should use
dtnping dtn://mydtn2Node/ping
dtnsend and dtnrecv should be interoperable I think (meaning they should be able to transfer data between each other, however the commandline options between IBR-DTN and DTN2 version will differ of course...)
