(dtnping) WARNING : TCPConnection & WARNING BundleCore
Hello,
I'm trying to do a "dtnping" between two dtn nodes (node1 and node2).
from node 2 : dtnping dtn://node1/echo
I have noticed that they can see each other, however, when I try to make a ping from node2 to node 1, I get this warning : *WARNING: bundle rejected: bundle has expired **([415720186.377] dtn://node2.dtn/zsKZSPktexxyNvJ dtn://node2.dtn/zsKZSPktexxyNvJ -> dtn://node1.dtn/echo dtn://nodeC.dtn/echo) **WARNING: bundle has been rejected: bundle is **expired
*I cannot understand the reason. Someone have an idea how may I resolve it?
Thanks!
Best Regards,
Farouk
Hi Farouk,
Is the time in sync on both nodes?
Best regards, Sergey Syreskin

Thanks for your answer.
I think this is the problem, that the time is not synchronized on both nodes. How can I synchronize it ?

Yes I tried the --badclock option and I get this message. dtnd: unrecongnized option '--badclock'

You're right, it's an old option that has been removed in v12 and above, my bad.

It has been superseded by the option "time_reference = no". This option tells the daemon, that the local clock is not reliable.
If the option "time_synchronize = yes" is also set, the daemon will synchronize with other daemons as long as they have a reliable clock and broadcast their status, enabled by "time_discovery_announcements = yes".
Kind regards, Johannes
Hi,
might be due to a time difference between the 2 nodes, have you tried running the daemon with the --badclock option?

Hello!
The clocks of both nodes must be in sync in order process bundles properly. You have two options:
1) Synchronize the clock manually or using NTP
2) Enable the built-in DT-NTP for automatic time-synchronization
On the first node this options have to be set in the ibrdtnd.conf:
time_reference = yes time_discovery_announcements = yes
On the second (and all others) these options are required:
time_reference = no time_synchronize = yes
Kind regards, Johannes

Thanks *Johannes* for your answer
I did exactly the option number 2 and it works.
Thank you all for your help.
