Continuous customer-centric requirements prioritization is essential in successfully performing agile software development. Agile requirements engineering is unique in two ways: (1) (re)prioritization happens at inter-iteration time, and (2) the client plays a key role for making prioritization decisions.
In this presentation I'll outline our investigation on the topic of agile prioritization methods, that yield a conceptual model for understanding the inter-iteration prioritization process. One of our findings is that the concept of business value plays a key role in the process, and we performed further study, dedicated to the definition and understanding of this concept. I'll comment on the results and implications of our study for research and practice and will discuss our goals and future work.
The topic will be positioned in the context of the QuadRead (Quality Driven Requirements Engineering and Architecture Design) project.
