Bagadus is cooperation of football (i.e. soccer) coaches and teams, a local sensing company ZXY, and computer scientists in Oslo and Tromsø to create a system for football analytics that gives answers in real-time and with video. Our system allows the training team to highlight and track players, make annotations while a game is going on, replacing good old pen and paper with tablets that integrate with a visual analytics system. On site, they can zoom and replay actions on the field within 3 seconds, and use both own and external tagging in summaries that assist discussions in preparations, in the break and in post-action. This talks addresses the motivation, use cases, the exiting work that was used, and our new contributions.
