Such a BCP would probably just say that you better do not do any of the fancy things that may be legal from an ASN.1 perspective because it will hurt interoperability. ;-)

Anyway, your posting is useful for compiler writers. Unfortunately, in 2-3 years we will have lost it again. (So keep a copy around.)
