Hi, Sorry I think I was not clear in my previous mail. What I need to know is whether libsmi supports the new variables & Macro types supported by SNMPv3 Thanks, Shubhangi

There are no new macro types. The latest SMI is SMIv2 as defined in RFC 2578-2580.
The libsmi can parse any MIB modules. If you pass an SNMPv3 MIB module into libsmi, you will get access to the variables defined in the module.
Perhaps you want to take a look at RFC 2570.

The libsmi is capable to process SMIv1/SMIv2 MIB modules which can in general be used with any version of SNMP (except some Counter64 issues with SNMPv1).
