I'm on the process of rewriting Wireshark's snmp and most probably we'll be using libsmi.
We would like to distribute libsmi's collection of MIBs along wireshark, can we?
Thanks,
Luis

Most of the MIB modules have been extracted from RFCs and they are thus copyrighted. Some open source people believe the IETF rules are too strict to redistributed things; others are more relaxed.
I personally believe that the intention of standardizing those MIB modules was to make them publically and openly available. In short, if you are fine with distributing RFCs, you should be fine with distributing MIB modules extracted from RFCs.
