two libsmi 0.2 bugs on Solaris

I am writing this to report two libsmi bugs I encountered on Solaris sun4u systems.
1. core dump on MIB module location search
If SMIPATH is not set to include locations of imported MIB modules, then smidump/smilint will dump core instead of exiting gracefully with an error message.
2. make install error
There is an error towards the end of "make install" :
Making install in test Making install in mibs Making install in dumps Making install in doc make: Warning: Too many rules defined for target config.h Current working directory /home/tornado/jang/local/libsmi-0.2
I also noticed that setting the "prefix" setting to the desired value (in this case /home/tornado/jang/local) is not enough to cause the MIBs to be installed in "prefix"/share/mibs which still want to go into /usr/local/share/mibs (where I don't have write perms, although there was no error message when the write must have failed).
